Just 2 hits again tonight - both from Jonathan Diaz - to along with 11 K's. Rough ending offensively for the Pawsox with only 4 hits in the last 24 innings. To be fair, Boston had poached some of their top hitters in the past month.
Great season for the PawSox, though.

Great season by the PawSox and - even though there was "only" one champion among the affiliates - by the whole system. Having a champion is great, and three others in the finals is terrific. And this with a real prospect-driven system, not a bunch of older org guys driving the success ...
And thanks to jsinger for all of these game threads and everyone who posted observations and stats throughout! These game threads were the thing that first brought met to SoxProspects and are still the heartbeat of the information flow here, imo.
Still miss jonasi's post of links, though.

I went to the game last night. As others have noted the PawSox lineup was significantly depleted with all of the major league call ups. The Bulls' lineup wasn't much better. The one bright side for the PawSox was Butler who has a cannon of an arm. He threw out a potential base stealer with Heager pitching which was pretty impressive.
