Let's get excited! It's all on you William Cuevas ... Earl Weaver is looking down from on high and trying to intimidate the umpires into squeezing the zone on you (Weaver was on the 1950 Winston-Salem team whose record Salem would break)

You can't stop the Salem Sox. You can only hope to contain them. Knock Ranaudo, Henry-O and Kukuk(sp? ) off the headline.

I really have no idea how this Salem team has scored 34 runs in 5 games with the lineup that they have. They have six players with a .900+ OPS, and without looking, I would have guessed maybe one of them.

Blair, Dent, and Roof aren't prospects, but they are the sort of hitters than should be (and are) annihilating Single-A pitching. Is Gragnani a sleeper?

Margot with a homerun and apparently threw out someone at home According to the game log it was 8-6-2, but still a good sign for sure.

It doesn't look like Ranaudo shared your enthusiasm. Margot on the other hand is loving morning baseball, and just cracked his 2nd dinger of the game

Margot with a homerun and apparently threw out someone at home Thats two home runs for Margot today. Lots to dream on with him, especially if he starts to show some power this year. Lot of of guys off to a good start in this system

1 HR in 185 ABs last year for Margot, and I believe that it was inside-the-park at that.

Is there any thing to htting homeruns in clusters and developing more consistent power down the road? I'm probably just fishing for more reasons to like this kid...

A 3/4 day with two HR. I'll take that. This guy could really rise with a good year.
Mookie Betts hit only 9 XBH with 0 HR in 292 PA with Lowell. Margot was also the youngest regular at in that league. I believe reports suggest he could develop avg power.

Demote Henry Owens to Salem for one day! The MiLB website has the starter for Salem as TBD ... But Owens still listed for Portland, so ... Buchholz?

He hit one home run in each of the season's first two games, one in July, then one on the second-to-last day of the season. FWIW, Baseball Reference has game logs, in case you ever want to check stuff like this!

I utilize that site quite a bit but figured MILB.com would be the better bet for old game logs and couldnot find them there.
