What a matchup in AA. Wish it was televised.

What a matchup in AA. Wish it was televised. W/L's don't matter. But, Henry O could win 20 this year. 3 starts left this month, 6 in July. Maybe, one in september

Devers 2/3, but two more throwing erros, up to 7. all kidding aside, what's up with Chavis? 2 for 29 with 12 Ks. Still small sample size/slump (less than Xander's current one, and I believe in him), but I wouldn't mind a sign of life.
edit: Seems like too many catchers at Ft.Myers, as they keep rotating them for half a game. That doesn't even include Denney, who was thought to be active, but hasn't seen action since that initial report.

What a matchup in AA. Wish it was televised. New Hampshire televises their games, should be on MiLB.TV. All the games that Portland plays are, except games at Binghampton.

Yeah those extra bodies are helpful when you're catching in Florida in the summer at noon. Chavis is likely struggling because he's spending too much time on the side working on his cutter for his eventual move to the mound.

GreenvilleDrive ?@greenvilledrive 27m
A #Drive player has been called up to Salem! Tweet who you think is the #GSPPlayerTakingOffNow for a chance to win a prize from #GSP.
LOL, I'll guess Asuaje.

FYI, DSL Red Sox are off today for the All-Star break. For those interested, the DSL All-Star game is tomorrow and apparently will be streamed live through their website. This seems to be the link: www.dominicansummerleague.com/www/index.php/trasmision-en-vivoYoan Aybar and Daniel Gonzalez are both "Americana" all-stars.

GreenvilleDrive ?@greenvilledrive 9m #Drive roster move: LHP Mike Adams has been activated from the DL. IF Tzu-Wei Lin is placed on the DL, retroactive to July 12th.
GreenvilleDrive ?@greenvilledrive 9m As a counter move for Carlos Asuaje's promotion to Salem, the #Drive received IF Hector Lorenzada from the GCL Red Sox.

I was expecting Owens to be moving up with the all star break over. Any news on that?

Old friend Oscar Tejeda in the line-up for the Potomac Nationals tonight. And he hits a three-run jack off Mercedes.

And it was his 13th of the season. He seems to have discovered his power stroke. He still is only 24 years old, but they put him in A ball, where he hasn't played since 2010.

Norris smoked by Portland. Dogs up 6-0 but have the bases loaded, no outs in the fourth. Norris just taken out from the game.
Interesting, last Owens/Cat's big prospect (Sanchez) matchup was an 18-0 Dogs win.
Swihart with a 3R HR.
8-0 mid fourth, all runs charged to Norris.

Gonna be tough for Owens with the long breaks between frames. He's been playing for Portland all year, he should be used to it by now.

Owens throwing a lot of curves tonight, including when he's on the ropes as he is now. He's also been high this inning but was keeping the ball low earlier. Weird though, this inning maybe 65-70% curves. More than I've ever seen him through at once, mostly the loopy roundhouse curve, he was high with it then Kipper talked to him then it came down in the zone..
Crap Almanzar hit in the head, walking to first now but I'm guessing he's coming out. They took him out of the game but he jogged off.
Sean Coyle's been struggling lately, 0-4 tonight with 4Ks.
Nice diving catch by Gibson.
Ball just gave up his first hit in the 3rd.

Badler tweet
Ridiculous 4-pitch sequence from Henry Owens to Dalton Pompey. Three changeups, swung through 2 of them, including the putaway pitch. Nasty.

Badler tweet Ridiculous 4-pitch sequence from Henry Owens to Dalton Pompey. Three changeups, swung through 2 of them, including the putaway pitch. Nasty. In the 6th (but I didn't see the fifth), he went back to pitching like he usually does. As the Cat's announcer keeps calling it, his money maker. Owens out for the 7th but he's at 99 pitches to start the inning. Owens out, leaving a runner on third. Triple off Hissey's glove. Noe in relief. Noe got out of it but it was somewhat of an adventure. 10-2. Margot still not back in the Drive lineup. Dalton Pompey looks impressive but he's only batting .190, looks multi-tool. Oi, Coyle 5 Ks.
