A 4pm start to the GCL doubleheader? Is that accurate? I hope so. They should play more 4pm or 6pm games.
We get Greenville in the morning instead.

The tarp is still on at #FluorField, and this morning's game will not start at 11:05. Stay tuned for any further updates.

Margot hasn't played since he came out of that game a few days ago. Any news?

Callahan with a solid outing: 5IP 3H 0ER 3BB 7K
Regarding Margot, Speier wrote in his minor-league roundup recently that Margot suffered a knee injury but that it didn't sound serious.

Real nice to see Callahan with very solid outing, including 7K's and only 3H in 5 innings. Not overly worried about the 3 BB's right now.

Wouldn't surprise me if they treated a minor injury to Margot as a chance to get him a breather. First full season can be a major grind.

Drive lost 2-0.
I only saw the last half of the game. Gomez is a tall skinny pitcher with a complex delivery, he looked like he's going to be a project. Adams is a big boy, simple delivery that he repeats well but looks like a max effort delivery. Lefty that hides the ball well.
Lorenzana surprised me, he's bigger (more solid) than I would have thought. Looks more like a 3B than SS to me. Rijo made a real nice play charging a ball, he's going to be a plus defender. His batting stance was more open than I remember but I might be wrong there. I only think that because it seemed too open to me and I don't recall thinking that. His mechanics are generally typical of a batter that starts with the bat way high in the air.

F or those with BP subscriptions, there's a Ben Badler report from the last Owens game ... And for those without BP subscriptions, care to offer up a synopsis?

It's a BA subscription (not even really a subscription-- I think you just have to register for free), and I posted a synopsis here: forum.soxprospects.com/post/95308/thread

If Gibson keeps this up he could play his way to MLB as a 4th OF or perhaps even a CF for a team bereft of defense.

Only downside to Gibson is his Iso at around .100. He's a singles hitter with league average discipline. He's clearly taking well to playing the outfield. . . . Lowell Spinners ? lowellspinners 21m Mauricio Dubon's (@mauriciodubon10) inside-the-park home run the first for #Spinners since Manuel Margot did so last August in Connecticut. . . . Red Sox Stats ?@redsoxstats 41m Dustin Pedroia, Ryan Lavarnway and David Chester are the only starters not to have a hit tonight for Boston/ Pawtucket/ Portland. . . . Maybe this will become a collector's item:

He always was regarded asn acceptable defender at SS and in fact started there in the EL All-Star game. I think he has a good chance to have at least a Willie Bloomquist super-utility career.

I know we're kinda over scouting every box score, but I'll post some notable lines here.
Every Pawsox batter had at least one hit, with Bets (double, K), and Herrera each 2/5. Middlebrooks 1/4 with a BB and 2K. Webster threw 7 allowing 3er on 6h and a BB with 3 K's, a WP and a HBP. Threw 95 pitches (64 strikes) and got 10 go to 6 ao's. That's a nice line from a guy basically pounding down the door to the MLB. Wilson went 2ip with a K for the win.
Gibson went 4/5 with a SB, Swihart went 1/3 with 2BB's and a SB, and Coyle had 2 hits in 5 trips.
Asuaje and Weems each 0/3 with one K. Weems also had two PB's and a walk. Littrell threw 5.1 allowing an ER (2R total) on 7 hits and a BB. Had 3K's, and a HBP and got 5/4 GO/AO.
Sturgeon 1/5 and Rijo had a 2b in 4ab along with 2K's. Callahan had a nice 5ip allowing 3h and 3bb but no runs on 7K's. Threw 59 strikes and WP in 90 pitches, and got 3/2 GO/AO.
Longhi went 1/1 with 3BB's before being run for by Mars. Danny hit a solo shot in his only PA. Travis was 1/5 and Flores 0/5.
Ockimy was 2/4 with a K in one game. Devers went 2/7 with 3 strikeouts in two games, both at DH. Chavis was 0/3.
