For the GCL doubleheader, Is the 1st game at Jet Blue and the 2nd in Port Charlotte? That is how it reads. Schedule wise they are originally scheduled to be in Fort Myers today. Interesting pitching!

I believe they will both be played in Ft. Meyers but that the second game which is a continuation game will be considered to be a road game. That happened to the Sea Dogs earlier this year. The Sox stats for the rest of the game will be road stats as well as the original stats. That should be noted as a venue note on the box score (but might not be since this is the GCL). Good news about Margot.

Box score says Ft. Myers. Also, Bryce Brentz is rehabbing with the GCL today, batting 3rd and DHing.

I think at this point, the lesson is to ignore the location in the GCL box score.

I think at this point, the lesson is to ignore the location in the GCL box score. The venue in the box score is correct. Jet Blue. It's the second game that is the continuation game, not the first. Cosart done after 1. no hits but 2 walks vs no K's

2nd game isn't a continuation game, it's a make-up game but set up as if the Red Sox are the visitors. Venue Jet Blue. Red Sox bat first. The stats will show up as road stats.
Basabe's stats from the DSL: .284/.408/.480/.887 with 13 SB. This is the CF Basabe.

Can we please trade these two? I can't take it.

We only need to trade one although now they can be US Basabe and DR Basabe, that's easy.
The US Basabe has more RBI than ABs. He's an RBI machine.
Fernandez got the start not Kopech.
Greenville won 9-2. 2 hits each for Sturgeon, Rijo and Guzman. of those six hits, five were doubles, only Rijo had aaaaaa single.
Nice start for McGrath, other than a few too many walks, good numbers.

Jose Rojas to 2nd on the throw. 2 Out 4 Chris DeMorais singles on a line drive to center fielder Luis Alexander Basabe. Jose Rojas out at home on the throw, center fielder Luis Alexander Basabe to catcher Alex McKeon. 3 Out

Lehigh Valley's starting pitcher 26YR old JAG Sean O'Sullivan comes into tonight with 63k's in 105 innings. Promptly strikes out; Mookie, Herrera and WMB in the first. I wonder if McIlroy's old man bet on that too.

WMB with a HR. PawSox up 1-0. 9up and down against Wright.
Portland lost 4-2. Coyle with a HR.
Box isn't updating but a tweet just said they scored a touchdown and are up 9-1.
Doubon with a HR, Spinners up down 6-5

Love me some Mauricio Doubon. 10 Ks in 129 plate appearances while also flashing some decent NYPL power. I like it.

Salem up 12-1. Catcher race is interesting, Carson Blair has been struggling, 0-5 tonight with 4 Ks. So far, Weems is 3/4 but all singles, recently his Iso has been dropping. . . PawSox ?@pawsox 9m Game has been suspended....will conclude the game tomorrow at 6:05 and the originally scheduled game will follow (7 innings for game two). . . Weems now 4/5, all singles. BA up to .355. He looks like somebody that will have some (not a lot) of power as he physically matures. . . Eye on Baseball ?@eyeonbaseball 8m VIDEO: Anthony Rizzo promises to hit homer for cancer patient, hits two instead cbsprt.co/1z5aeQf via @cbssports . . . Salem won 12-3. Nice to see the 7K's in 6IP for Gunkel.

Certainly it has been few at bats but WMB has raised his average in AAA...Several times this year mention has been made of his trying to wear contact lenses or glasses...neither of which was appealing to him. But the question remains....what is the basis? What vision issues does he have?....Anyone?...and is he wearing corrective lenses of any kind presently?

According to the box score, he was 1 for 2 with 2 HR. Must have been one hell of a blast!
