the GCL stats page has Devers with 8 E in 19 games Woah. That is well less than a billion. Some people just don't stick to the facts.

I remember how mad the Giants were that Barry Bonds couldn't play left field well anymore in 2002.

Owens' next start after today would be after the trade deadline so it's pretty easy to forecast the promotion dominos following any trades.

Owens' next start after today would be after the trade deadline so it's pretty easy to forecast the promotion dominos following any trades. Yeah, the prevailing thought (which I subscribed to) was that he'd be up after the Peavy trade, but Escobar took that spot. If another starter is traded, his promotion seems elementary. Also, I'm pretty sure Speier has said something similar regarding Owens and his "last start" before, although it may have been one of the ProJo guys. As for Haley, he might just be coming up for the doubleheader. It's not necessarily a Portland need, since Kehrt could take the start, but Salem has at least six guys they're trying to find starts for right now, so that could be reason to give him the blood in such a situation.

Plus, other than Johnson, Haley has been hands-down the best starter in Salem this year, based on the metrics I follow.

Haley would bump Boscan out of the rotation or possibly Mike Augliera. The only 3 he wouldn't are Owens (likely promoted soon anyways), Johnson and Diaz. There is a spot for him there.
Portland already has Kehrt listed as tonight's game 2 starter.

Haley and Jonathan Aro promoted. Looks like the Haley promotion is permanent. My guess is they'll do something like put Kehrt on TIA after tonight's start until the deadline passes.

They'll also likely hold Couch and Villarreal in rehab until after that.

As the countermove to Aro's promotion, RH Ty Buttrey has been activated off the DL, and he will start tonight's game for the #Drive.
Lowell lost, 4-1, Travis with 3 of their 5 hits, their only XBH a double and the RBI. Now hitting .321.
GCL Sox lost first game, 2nd game suspended after 6 1-1. Couch got the start in the first game.
Owens got the win in the first game, setting a franchise record (14) but had pedestrian numbers.
