Sometimes I wonder if the Red Sox hitters are trained to take two pitches down the middle so they can then swing at pitches out of the strike zone. It maybe would make more sense if the pitcher is wild and struggles to throw strikes.

So far I count 5 swing and miss by the Rays. This is one off-putting part about De La Rosa. You'd think a guy who lives in the mid to high 90s with the FB and has that dancing change-up and a good slider would have guys up there just waving at the ball more frequently. There are times when he has movement on the FB and times when it's s bit straighter. He's not quite a finished product.

Tazawa is in, lets see how the he pitches given the amount of rest he has had. The two RBI hits he gave up we're poor pitch selection in Remy's opinion and mine. He blew a fastball by Meyer inside. Tied him up. Then Vazquez calls for one on outside corner. Meyer can extend his arms and lines double to right scoring one. Same thing with Longo. Can't let him extend his arms either. Correctable mistakes.

Nava hits like a pitcher from the right side. Speaking of guys who hit like pitchers, here comes WMB!

Rarely does a challenge gone our way, whoever is deciding the call in New York it must be a Yankee fan! What a joke. He was out!

Can we please win this game, please. Why? What exactly does this one meaningless win mean to you and the team?

Why? What exactly does this one meaningless win mean to you and the team? Because i HATE the rays. Almost as much as the Stankies. Still don't get this. The Rays and the Sox, from a fans' standpoint, shouldn't be anywhere near as huge as Sox/Yanks. It's just not. I'm from CT. There's no Rays fans rubbing it in your face if they beat the Sox - heck, there might not even be any Rays fans period. If the Yanks beat the Sox before 2004 there were the constant 1918 reminders and now there are the reminders of the Yanks' 27 championships. Anytime the Yanks beat the Sox you have to hear about it from Yankees fans. You get none of that with the Rays. Absoutely none of it. 2008 ALCS and 2013 ALDS brought none of the intensity that 2003 and 2004 did and nothing similar to the battles of the mid to late 1970s. The Yanks are the best team in the history of baseball. Beating them means everything. The Rays are an expansion team that is still under .500 historically. Beating them last season was nice, especially beating Price and paying them back for 2008, but beyond that, the Rays aren't that big a deal. I hate the Mets more for what they did in 1986 (although I will admit to a soft spot for the 1969 Mets - I mean that was amazing!)
