Bill Belichick has many great accomplishments in his career. He can now add "motivating Jim Nantz to actually tell us who is eligible" to that list.

Garoppolo has had his helmet on the entire game. Maybe we should let him play a bit.

Edelman, Brady, and Gronk should all be riding the pine at this point.

Classic baseball tactic, bring the pitcher back for one more batter instead of hooking him between innings so he can get a standing O.

That hit to the knee on 3rd down was to close for comfort. Great win. All around. Pats vs Seahawks, what a matchup. Can't wait. Nice job boys.

Congrats to the Pats.
Brady has played in 9 championships games and soon 6 SB's. For poster rip, that's special.

Edelman was back in there at the end, he should be good to go. That would be awesome if we got stork back!

Was thinking later in the game, when they had a sixth lineman in at tight end, that McDaniels was just screwing around with the number of linemen in the game at that point trying to mindf- them.

All three of those passes were arguably pass interference. The problem was that they didn't leave themselves a timeout and so could only go with quick throws into the end zone. On fourth and a foot, they shouldn't need to take a time out to figure out that you go for it. Its really annoying especially after they called holding on Browner. There's no such thing as PI against Gronk. Didn't you guys get the memo after the Carolina game last year?

We're being investigated by the league for use of deflated balls? Not this crap again...

The score was 45-7, the Pats could have used a prune or a beachball and still won the game. I also wonder why the NFL has the home team take care of the balls and each team to use their own balls since it can only invite something like this to happen in the first place. This just seems like some kind of thing brought up by people who hate the Pats and want to run their anti-NE narrative and have nothing else to talk about because the Pats keep winning. Simply haters gon' hate to me.

each team to use their own balls Yeah this is ridiculously stupid in the first place. Bill Barnwell on the topic:

The really dumb thing is, the fans of every other team in the league already convicted them of it.

I was really looking forward to a relatively calm two weeks with friendly banter between two classy teams and QBs, but alas, we get the guys who make the Ravens look refined and classy. I wish Russell Wilson would rub off on the rest of his team instead of Richard Sherman being the face of the franchise. That's the old man in me talking, but I can't handle the trash talk or BS after the whistle anymore. Let your play do the talking and be happy you win, not happy that the other team loses.

It appears that DeflateGate investigation may last beyond the SuperBowl which is a BuzzKill. If there truly were balls that were not properly inflated the NFL and officials should have stopped the game, pumped up the balls and moved on. To quote Keyshon Johnson " Come on, man!" The NFL is almost as incompetent as the U.S. congress.

If we win I honestly wouldnt care about it. Beating Seattle would be legit and everyone knows the Colts kinda sucked anyway. People will never shut up about spygate anyway. It would suck to lose a potential draft pick but those guys are busts anyway a lot of the time.

One thing that hasn't been made clear. Did they only supposedly deflate half the balls and somehow separate them for Colts offense/Patriots offense? I haven't heard anyone say or imply that, so playing with the same balls wouldn't even be an advantage.

As mentioned in multiple posts in this thread, each team provides their own balls for their offense.

Two things to consider on this one:
1- The Pats would have beaten the Colts with any kind of balls, it simply came down to them being MUCH more talented. Indy would need to play their best game to have a shot and ended up playing their worst. The score doesn't change either way.
2- If somehow proved that there was any malicious intent in this thing, I'd expect a heavy fine, loss of a draft pick and a rule change. The rule sucks, but exploiting it is bushleague.

The Patriots outscored the Colts 28-0 after the Colts complained and the refs replaced the balls.
