Suspended game is a final at 8-1, no championship today.
Game 2 off to a good start. Sox scored 1 in the top of the first. Might be all Gonzalez needs.
Gonzalez no hit string is over, a single in the second. Sox up 1-0 after 2. How good is Gonzalez ? Consider that Jesus sacrificed himself in the first.

Sox up 1-0 after 3 but it's been a while since the box has updated.
Edit 1-0 not 3-0.

Nice to see LAj (Luis Alejandro) Basabe jump-starting things in Game 3 with a leadoff double. His twin brother LAx (Luis Alexander) made the jump to GCL before he did, but LAj has had a damn fine season after being hampered by injury.
He started the year .292/.417/.375/.792, drawing 10 BB in 60 PA and stealing 7 bases in 8 tries. Then he missed a month and struggled mightily in his first week back, with a lone hit in 26 PA and 6 K (.048/.200/.048/.248).
From Aug 2 onward LAj closed out the regular season .261/.477/.370/.846 with 18 BB in 67 PA (a 26.9% rate). He went 6-for-6 stealing while scoring 16 R in 15 G.
The Royals held him hitless with 1 BB in 13 first-round PA, but so far in the Rangers series (thru the 3rd inning of Game 3) he's got 3 H (2 doubles & a triple) and 2 BB in 11 PA with 4 runs scored.
Small samples everywhere, but I doubt those walks or his speed are mirages.

Yoan Aybar gunned down a runner on a 1st to 3rd attempt following a single, helping to kill a Rangers rally in the b-4th.
Basabe again kickstarting things with a 2-out single in the t-5th. Bases juiced now for Baldwin...
EDIT - Ugh. Roldani whiffs.

2 walks, a passed ball, and an infield single. And that's how it ends. Need to win 2 straight on the road.
