LOL, my wife is a clothes extremist. Apparelantly they aren't in the Philippines, I've never seen them. We're starting an imported clothing boutique here, we've got a friend that is a middlewoman for a Bangkok (Thailand) clothing manufacturer. I'm volunteering to help with the customer fittings.

Does this mean that MiLB TV will be blacked out?

Gildan competes with Russell Athletic & Fruit of the Loom (and to a lesser extent Under Armour). They sponsor the New Mexico Bowl.
Also, just noticed Blake Swihart went on the 7-day DL on Saturday before Game 5 (with uber-coach-in-waiting Matt Spring activated). Any intel on this?
Lavarnway caught games 2 & 5 vs Durham, but I never really gave it much thought and attributed it to late-season rest.

Yeah, Swihart suffered a hand injury in game four (while making the series-saving out at home in the 10th inning), so presumably Lavarnway will be catching this one.

Thanks to you both. He's with the team in Charlotte, so I'm glad it's nothing serious or long-term.

This kind of a silly question, but didn't they just win the championship yesterday? What is this game?

This kind of a silly question, but didn't they just win the championship yesterday? What is this game? The Club World Cup. I.e., a glorified exhibition game, which delays Rusney's arrival in Boston by a day. Obviously, a single game between two league champs in a sport where multiple games are universally recognized as being needed to have any opportunity to "establish the better team and a worthwhile champion" is essentially meaningless. At least a best of 5 runs through a team's full rotation.

The announcer said that Castillo has a chance to play center field in Boston because both JBJ and Betts can play the field but neither can hit.

Generally don't hear Kaat say things out of his mind. Things say..of Harold reynolds magnitude and above that whoever is with Kaat is doing, then it's on NBC.. Shame it's rain delayed..

This is a drag, a lightning bolt hit our microwave tower and I'm not sure how long before I'll be able to be on line from home. Even worse, the shared internet cafe connection makes streaming the game impossible.
Swihart got crossed up with a pitch from Rodriguez the other night and has a swollen but not broken finger on his throwing hand. That resulted in Swihart's first passed ball all year, quite a remarkable accomplishment in itself. The play he made at home was after the injury, it didn't swell up until the next morning and Spring was activated that day.
4-2 final. I'll take the internet karma blame.

Highlight was the throwing by brentz. Shaw's HR was nice, but the throws LF, mainly the one from all the way in the corner to 2b in the air for the tag play was sweet.

Just struck me that when the 2014SE.htm page is archived for posterity with each team's season-ending roster, Rusney Castillo will be on it four times. That's gotta be the first time anyone's been on there more than twice.

The end result may have been a loss but it was to a lineup with 6 players 28 years or older and 2 that are 25. Omaha is a veteran team which tends to play well in the playoffs.
