Jon Morosi ?@jonmorosi 25 sec. #Tigers will obtain minor-league pitcher from #RedSox in Porcello-Cespedes deal, source says. @cjnitkowski first reported trade. Would'nt be suprised if it is Ranaudo Here's where we panic. No Barnes, No Owens, No Rodriguez. I'd guess Hembree or Escobar.

Porcello is projected to make 12.2 mil in arbitration per MLBTradeRumors. So they save a few mil w Cespedes and get a young cost controlled arm. Could also signal a precursor to resigning Scherzer? Perhaps the other arm is a power arm for their bullpen. I would hope not Barnes. Maybe a Noe Ramirez, Jason Garcia or Simon Mercedes type?

What is the deal with pre-announcing done deals that don't look like they're done?

Interested to see who the minor leaguers are. I bet one is a mid tier prospect with the other as no one real important.

Would'nt be suprised if it is Ranaudo That would be my guess. My guess is that DET wanted RDLR. BOS balked, traded him to ARI in the Miley deal and then DET came back and agreed to take Ranaudo and a lottery ticket (Mercedes?) instead. Just speculation, of course.

Man, I'm never going to the bathroom again! Or else will keep going to the bathroom hoping we have a new pitcher when I come back.
Like it, hoping prospects are of the type we've been talking. Ranaudo, Light, something like that.

It won't be it most likely will be a no name pitcher or maybe is Ranaudo either way great trade for the sox 1- Wright2- Rich Porcello 3- Joe Kelly 4- Wade Miley 5- Clay Buchholz Nice rotation, wonder who they fill the 1. spot with most likely Sheilds or Hamels. Fixed..... Signed friend of the man with the broad sword

I hate hearing that trades are done and they actually aren't done and we have to spend hours and days guessing who else is involved. Hope it's resolved really quickly. What time is the Rule 5 draft?

From his treatment of the press, sounds like Stewart is the same ahole he has always been. This is why I like the bill belicheck approach of never saying anything, which is quite different than saying things are not happening, when clearly they are.

Buchholz, Kelly, Miley, Porcello. Does anyone else think that the Sox reasoning in piling up these middle of the rotation arms, could be to give them flexibility in trading one in a deal for a guy like Cueto or Hamels? I could see Buchholz, Kelly and Miley being a major piece in a deal for either team, especially Cincinatti, who does not want to punt on the season by trading Cueto, but who needs to trade Cueto or watch him walk out the door next year with nothing to show but a draft pick. Philly is a little different, but with Amaro, you never know what is going on, maybe he thinks he needs a major league piece to go along with prospects in order to sell trading Hamels to the fan base (I don’t buy that, but who knows what is going on in Amaro’s head?).
