Happy Ball Day. Here's hoping he can continue his impressive performance from his last start.

Manuel Margot Watch: 46 PAs without a strikeout this season. Now with 3 BBs, 357/391/619 slash line.
Pretty outrageous.

There's something wrong with Ball if he's throwing 86. Hopefully it's physical

There's something wrong with Ball if he's throwing 86. Hopefully it's physical I listened to the 3-5th innings. Ball was pitching outstanding until the last batter. Two-seamer is 88 according to the announcers. Hit 93 2x while I was listening and 95 once. Don't scout the box score. His line thru 4 was 4 IP 1 hit a hr 2bb 4k. Gave up a ground ball single past ss, he got the next two guys out. Nearing his pitch limit. He and Travis didn't execute on a grounder between the two. His night should have been over. Boom. They tried to get him the W and he gives up a 3 run bomb.

Has Ball filled out some since being drafted. He was one skinny dude back then. He must have filled out some since then right?
Been watching Dubon. Intriquing story and all he does it beat other players out and put up good numbers. Josh Reddick like in the low minors. Underated coming in but out performs higher rated guys.
I love players like that. They find a way to get better and better. He even looks positive. He sounds positive in interviews. I think we have a winner there guys. A helium watch is appropriate.

Dubon has been striking out at less than a 10% rate this year, on top of a roughly 10% rate last year. Just rough mental estimates.

That is a classic Trey Ball stat line, I have to say.
Williams Jerez so far: 17k 3bb 1 HR in 11.2 innings

Rafael Devers with three singles to boost his BA to .302 ... but he's only got two XBH this season so far. He's got 13 hits and 15 total bases (compared to, say, Longhi with 18 hits and 28 total bases).
I'm the opposite of concerned, though, just pointing this out. He's so, so young ... my son's a sophomore in high school, and Devers MiLB picture looks so much like the Dominican version of a friend of my son's.
