Mookie is not quite JBJ in center field.

Mookie is not quite JBJ in center field. Even if he were, he wouldn't have caught that ball

I'm ready for the Brian Johnson experience.

I won't go so far as to say JBJ would have made that catch, but he would have been a helluva lot closer at least, Mookie got a pretty bad jump.

Let's not get rid of right-handed Mike Napoli quite yet. Right-handed Pablo Sandoval, on the other hand, I would not miss him at all.

Masterson is not having any luck tonight.

Masterson is not keeping the ball down, and he's not looking towards home before throwing there when there's a guylead runner on 2nd. Given that, maybe he is actually having some luck.

Masterson is probably distracted by the 500 helicopters flying overhead.

There's some BABIP luck for Hanley and Napoli.

Hanley should ALWAYS do the opposite of what Butterfield indicates, not just sometimes.

Really Butterfield?

That was an absurd wave home of Hanley there.

What a dumb call. He hurt his foot yesterday.

That was some poor judgement by Butterfield.

I get being aggressive with 2 outs but it seemed like the LF had the ball in glove before Hanley was at 3B

Wasn't Xman up next? Why does Farrell have no confidence in this kid? Am I reading to much into this? Farrell treats him like Igelsis.

They ran that like the pitcher was up next. I think they the coaches knew who was up next and they ran an aggressive approach.
To me Butterfield is too good for that. They go over what they are gonna do in certain situations. These guys are very detailed. That's how I read it. You may think incompetence.

Geez Hanley, was that really necessary?

Masterson should be hooked after two batters, he doesn't have enough repertoire to go through the order a 4th time.

See, if only Farrell had listened to me... He's waiting for that first time that it works so he can feel justified. Geez, Masterson doesn't even have 90 pitches. There, it worked.

Masterson got through 7...got to tip hat for keeping the team in the game. Hoping for some offense in the 8th.

JBJ would have gunned down the runner going first to third there. A bit disappointed Mookie didn't even attempt a throw.
