I'm heading up to see the Sea Dogs today. I'll be with my 3-yr old son, so not sure how long we'll last.

And your daily Manuel Margot Watch ... now 52 56! plate appearances this year without a K (70 74! PAs stretching back to last year). 346/375/577 for the year.
In other news, if I were working in the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company I'd definitely be going to Scranton today to watch that doubleheader pitching line up for the PawSox. Reminds me of the Sea Dogs doubleheader I went to with Jon Lester starting the first game and Anibal Sanchez going in the second ... that was fun.
edit: oops! Thanks, Eric ...

I know it's a small sample size and I haven't actually seen him play yet, but Jantzen Witte has been killing it this season. He had good stats in Salem and Greenville. Is he a fringe prospect? Has he made adjustments since he was drafted? What's the deal with him?

It's Eduardo Time. He's dealing. Thru 5 he's allowed one hit no BB's and 5 K's. Couldn't make it to the game. Listening and driving kid around.

There's only one other pro player who has 30 or more PA without fanning, Jin-De Zhang, a 22 y/o Pirates depth chart C who's playing his 3rd straight year in A+. He's .486 / .525 / .571 with 4 BB and 0 SO in 42 PA. In fact, the few players with 20-29 are either having terrible seasons, are way too old for their league, or both.

Only Popeye could handle that Gets out of the inning by his catcher picking himself off third.

E. Rodriguez does not like giving free passes: 7 IP, 0 BB , 7 K He issued 1 walk in three games pitched...I hope Owens could learn from his fellow lefties that filling the strike zone gets you deep into games.

E. Rodriguez does not like giving free passes: 7 IP, 0 BB , 7 K. His pitch has late life on it. Opposing hitters struggling to get the fat part of the bat on it. Very impressive to watch.

Final line: 10 grounders, 7 strikeouts, a popup, 3 flies, a line drive, and no walks. There's a word you could use to describe that ... Edit: since he's now allowed 50 balls in play on the season, you can do the percentages yourself: 26 grounders 20 fly balls (including 3 popups) 4 line drives
