That's a weird way of spelling "Keith Couch".

I was worried he had no power.

Earl Weaver would have had a stroke arguing over that umpire wipeout at greeneville.
Edit: It couldn't have been more embarrassing for the guy.. His feet were straight up in the air, then he gave the safe sign, like he saw it all the way. Funny stuff.

Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd Red Sox RHP Michael Kopech with a quick and impressive first inning, all six fastballs were 96 or 97.
Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd Scouts told me Red Sox SS Javier Guerra is a plus plus defender & I've already seen it. Acrobatic play up the middle, caught it on video.
Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd Red Sox RHP Michael Kopech is done. Sat 94-97 with above avg hook. His frame, delivery, mannerisms and stuff really remind me of AJ Burnett.

Aaron Wilkerson now has a 19.1 8 2 1 4 25 line in a relief appearance and 3 starts for Salem -- an 0.47 ERA and 1.23 FIP. At 25 he's obviously old for the league, but as a guy signed out of the indie leagues and in his second pro year, he gets a partial mulligan for that (as did Nava coming through the system). If he can do something like this in Portland, he starts to get interesting. If he continues to have a > 2:1 strikeout to baserunner ratio, he'll get that chance soon.
And speaking of getting interesting, another good outing today from Cuevas.

Javier Guerra is damn. Numbers being held up by a crazy .423 BABIP, but his power is up, his walk-rate is up and reports of his defense are strong. Sounds like a top-5 prospect this time next year. Quite a logjam at 2B/SS with Moncada and Dubon.
P.S. Is Travis Shaw adjusting or just progressing to the mean? Now 7-for-last-14 with 2 K, 1 2B.

disappointed not seeing Moncada as I'm sure most of the fans were but we still got Kopech and he looked great, mostly 94-95 I saw one at 96 (looking on Twitter some guns were faster I was using the stadium gun) and he mixed in a low 80's slider and what looked to be a couple of low 80's change ups.
The Drive hitters were kept off balance most of the night, Charleston SP Joey Maher, did a good job of mixes speeds, but they did get a few loud hits, Doubon led of the bottom of the 1st with a ground ball double in the left field corner , that hit the fence in 2 seconds flat what a rocket. Longhi hit a shot to left center that went for a key double that was hit on the button, Tellez hit a shot in the 5th into the right field corner and Devers hit a shot down the left field line in the 9th that was foul by about 2 inches. those were about the only hard hit balls by the drive all night.
One more shoutout I know with Moncada on the team the Drive can't field Dubon at 2B and Guerra at SS too often anymore but what a defensive pairing those two are, Guerra made 2 really good plays and one unbelievable play up the middle and Dubon made a great play in the hole between 1st and 2nd. This is the 4th time i've seen this pairing and they always do something to stand out.
I'm not at all disappointed Moncada is here, I'm excited about it but this is one thing i wish could coexist but he has to play somewhere. I'll be back in a few weeks hopefully I get a look at him then

Was wondering before they sent Moncada there what they were going to do and it's been rough not seeing Dubon at 2b on a daily basis, then what do they do? Should he have been sent straight to Salem instead and interfered with Rijo's playing time, then DH'd when wasn't playing 2b? That Salem team doesn't have the number of top kids as does Greeneville.

I don't think they plan on him being at either of the A levels for too long. Temporary inconvenience.
