I hear the guy the PawSox are facing is decent.
Kidding aside, Tanaka threw 41 pitches over three innings last start. My guess is they'll try to get him to 5/80 or something like that?

Chris, Do you think the MFY will admit defeat with Tanaka and finally do the TJS? I feel like they are playing with fire every time he goes on the mound. PPlus, can it hurt Tanaka more to keep pitching with a partially torn UCL, or Does it not matter until it tears completely? I'm more or less asking if it would make the surgery more complex.

Not the point. The last question may be. But in general...people,with a lot,of baseball experience know things about elbows. Chill man. I feel like you've been a d to me every time i,post anything. Like everyone here we are all Sox fans. But you seem to overreact, over correct, and in general make snarky comments. Super cool of you btw. Oh,and no,one cares.

I don't get the Tanaka surgery criticism of the Yankees. From what I read, 4 doctors including Dr. James Andrews all advised against it. So the Yankees are dumb for choosing to listen to 4 of the highest paid and top professionals in this area, that actually have access to Tanaka's medical records? No one in the world could add any additional insight to the health of Tanaka's arm without having access to his medical records or the ability to examine him.

I was going to jokingly post "I can't wait for JBJ to go yard off of tanaka" this morning, but held off. I probably would've jinxed it, but great day for him already with a HR and 2B

I'm haven't been convinced that JBJ isn't one of the best 3 OFers in the system.

Because a lot of sports fans seem to think that major surgery that takes a year to recover from is a no-brainer with no risks involved. Like getting an oil change.

Good to see JBJ hitting big league pitching where it counts

I'm haven't been convinced that JBJ isn't one of the best 3 OFers in the system. If Hanley is our DH, A platoon of JBJ/Craig could be our 3rd outfielder. JBJ in CF and Mookie in LF against righties. Mookie back to CF and Craig in LF against lefties.

Wendell Rijo putting up pretty solid offensive numbers this year, he now has 18 xbh's in 29 games. Although his walk numbers are down pretty significantly.

I really don't think there's much of a chance Ortiz is still our DH in 2017. I mean he turns 40 in November. Not trying to overrect to his early struggles as we've seen this before with him, but he looks lost at the plate.
