I like the 2 picks of Andrew Benintendi and Jagger Rusconi, but I am not familiar with the other players. How's the result of this year's draft? Excellent? good? or bad? A couple obvious caveats here: 1. Judging the draft 1 day after it has finished is sort of....jumping the gun 2. This draft was considered to be weak and the Red Sox lacked early round firepower beyond the 7th pick Despite these, I personally think the team drafted reasonably well. Benintendi over Fulmer is arguable but certainly understandable given the rumours that the team saw Fulmer as a reliever. He has quite a high upside for a college prospect. 3rd round pick Austin Rei looks like a fine pick, and some prognosticators (I think John Manuel?) were particularly fond of it. I'm not a huge fan of Matheny as his ceiling seems quite low but others like him. After these 3 college picks, the team added some higher upside HS and JUCO talent in Rusconi, Allen, and Hamilton and managed to grab a couple of tough, but realistic (except for Reyes) signs later on. Overall, my thoughts are that this draft is not the most exciting one we have seen, but given the circumstances the team accounted for themselves well.

Based on his tweets and the interview with redsox.com, it looks like 11th rounder Nick Hamilton is signing.
