Some strong opinions and maybe even decisions are going to be made today with Kelly starting for Pawtucket and Masterson for the BoSox. Hope I'm wrong about Kelly, but they both look like bullpen arms to me.
It sure looks like a mismatch in St Pete today.

Am fine now with going ahead and moving Kelly to the pen, if they would just go ahead and do it to get the conversion over with to reliever. Maybe they think letting him try starting at Pawtucket this season and if it doesn't work, try the relief conversion at winter ball?

It sure looks like a mismatch in St Pete today. Rays never had a chance

Kelly is not a reliever. Anyone who can maintain that velocity deep into games with two other plus offerings has to remain a starter. He needs to work on his command and I would like to see him get rid of the two-seamer.

Lin and Weems with a single and double each. Rijo with a pair of singles. Jordan Betts with a HR. Stank with an acceptable effort. Salem leads 6-4 after 7 innings.
EDIT ADD: Salem blows the lead. Taveras gives up 6 runs in the 9th and Lynchburg wins 10-6

In greenville, Devers and Brian Hudson each with a 2B and a pair of singles. Devers has knocked in 3 and The Drive lead 7-2 in the bottom (their) half of the 7th.
EDIT ADD: Alcantara and Pinales each give up 5 runs in the 8th and 9th innings - Greenville down 12-8 and down to their last 2 outs.
