2-3 with with at least an extra base hit and 2 walks or I'll call him a bust! Add: The out should be also a lineout Strikes out in his first AB I see he took your criticism to heart.

Strikes out in his first AB He's a bust-- no position player has ever made the majors with a 100% strikeout rate.
Yeah, but how do position players who hit .500 in the the minor leagues do?!

I sincerely doubt attendance at minor league games has much to do with the home team's record. I'd bet 90 percent of the people at a given game are even aware of the teams' respective records when they get tickets. At Portland I agree with that, but in places where there isn't an obvious connection between the parent club and minor league city then I think it probably helps to have a competitive team. Speaking from experience, Syracuse did much better at the end of last year attendance-wise because they were going to the IL playoffs. Though the biggest thing in these places is to have a big-name prospect: Harper or Strasburg in 'Cuse, Mariano Rivera Jr. in Auburn, etc. For me, I care way more about seeing real prospects than I care about seeing a bunch of 30 year olds who are winning in the minors. IMO, they aren't doing nearly well enough when winning, because they're in the minors.

The local in the seat next to me had not been aware that the starting pitcher was a highly touted first round pick with big signing bonus, unless this was inferred from being the season opener SP. After watching a few innings, he commented that Ranaudo will not be in Greenville long. At Salem fpr Owens first game, next to me was local high school coach who was unaware of the SP's prospect pedigree, but was very impressed. I suppose some may like a winning team, the more technical fans understand that stars don't stay long, but do appreciate good baseball (at $10 per ticket)
