Danny Mars was added to the GCL roster and is playing for the first time since last year.

Fitting that my main man Keith Couch pitches today, as if to get independence from his mediocre year thus far. Come on.

After 10 wins in a row, the GCL Sox lost their 2nd in a row today. Rough outing for Jalen Williams.
Moncada with the Drive only hit through 4 innings.

Benintendi is sporting a 0/2 BB/K, that's more than 28% K rate! Color me worried!

Andrew Benintendi = LH version of Mookie Betts.

I was at the PawSox game tonight. Disappointed to report that Light was even worse than his box score suggests. His control was wobbly throughout, and his last three batters were full-on meltdown. 12 of his last 13 pitches were balls, and he threw two that nearly beheaded Darin Mastroianni. Positives: Earlier in the inning he threw a beauty of a splitter that the Chiefs batter missed by a foot. He is also very tall.
Other observations: -The only ball that wasn't hit very hard by Bradley was the third-inning base hit. His two outs both went to the warning track. Also, I've said this before, but watching him play defense in person is almost jarring. We've all watched baseball a long time, so we've all seen baseballs get hit and then have a reasonable expectation of where the defender will be when that ball lands, and Bradley just totally defies that. Even on base hits, he's ready to field and throw on the hop. He's definitely one of the 20 best center fielders alive, which puts him behind Mookie Betts but someone out there needs to trade for him. It's the type of situation where both teams could really get value.
-Jess Todd looks like he's out of central casting for a 1980's movie bully. He may be a perfectly nice fellow, but he's definitely got the Mike Timlin thing going on where he looks like he'd hold you upside down in order to shake the lunch money out of your pockets.
-Keith Couch actually didn't look terrible. The second home run barely cleared the fence, and he was getting swings and misses all night. There was no stadium gun, and I was at the game in an unofficial capacity with my 21-month daughter in my lap, and the Chiefs lineup kinda stinks, so I'm not going to provide a ton of in-depth analysis on him. But it was really all dinks and dunks for base hits off him.
-Both of Peguero's home runs were legit no-doubters. He will win an International League MVP one day when Mike Hessman finally hangs 'em up.

Yoan Moncada:
.200 / .287 / .289 first 101 PA .324 / .410 / .471 subsequent 39 (9 games)
Having said that, Margot, just 8 months older, being one of just six position players in AA age 20 or younger and now hitting .294 / .345 / .435, plus 4/5 stealing, is pretty damn impressive.

Yeah, Moncada seems to finally be getting some traction.
11 for his last 34, with 2 doubles and a triple.

If Margot hadn't played hurt for 3 weeks, he'd be the toast of the prospect world ... you take out that stretch, and he's been dominant.

Unless the Red Sox want to give him away at pennies on the dollar, they need to get JBJ into the ML lineup and keep him there and hope he hits. I think he will.

Denyi Reyes with his usual many strikeout, zero walk performance. 37/0 on the season. Seems somewhat hittable so maybe his stuff isn't that great and he gets by on location.
