My guess is Greenville will be the recently promoted Ramos. He was slated to get the start in Lowell today.
If anyone wants to try, Greenville's website does this thing sometimes where you can see the probable starter in the banner at the top, but only for a second.
Robby Scott will probably start a bullpen game in Pawtucket. He and Escobar have three days rest, while Barnes and Belisario each have two. They'll probably hope to get through using those guys. Luxury of a nine-man bullpen, I guess (assuming Layne even reports - it seems like he might not.

The box score says Jalen Williams is pitching for GCL, not Espinoza. And it's delayed.

Wonder if he runs into the same issues as Danial McGrath did when he moved up beyond Rookie Ball and half season A Ball? Mid-upper 80'sFB I saw and what looked like a curve was getting hit pretty hard, solid contact in one outing. Will need to add another pitch.. Maybe hide the ball or come up with something that drops out of the zone. Changeup would probably be a start. He's still very young and a lot of time, though see trouble ahead if continues with just the pitches witnessed in the game earlier.

Chris,
Until the teams began demanding local townships (along with the State(s) fork over multi (tens) of millions for new and fancy stadiums in South Florida? There were nice complexes in Haines City at intersection of Interstate 4 and US 27 (KC Royals), Kissimmee (Astros) Plant City (Reds) Winter Haven (Red Sox) and still have stadiums located in Tampa (NYY) Lakeland (Tigers) Clearwater used to be (Phillies) not sure if still are? Dunedin (Blue Jays) I plum forgot who was in Sarasota after Boston left there decades (50y) ago.. White Sox? Bradenton (Pirates)
Point is? No travel at all really the teams cease demanding new tens of millions of dollars (of state paid for) stadiums that they rarely use, then BREAK the lease, like Boston did with Winter Haven with 2y left (I remember vividly) citing some turf was in bad shape on a not even playing field, nor even a Minor league field, but a half field after a week of thunderstorms during the winter of all times when it was a freak storm!

Interesting: as I just tweeted, Matt Barnes is now listed as Pawtucket's probable starter for Wednesday. Moving back to starting after the bullpen thing didn't take? Jess Todd had been listed as the probable starter previously.

Think the BP games not working out so well at Pawtucket, not to mention we could be seeing a lot more of both Henry Owens and Brian Johnson at Fenway until the end of September? Maybe like last year when they took long looks at Webster, Ranaudo and De LaRosa? Can't hurt to give him another try in the rotation, the trial out of the pen didn't seem to go according to plan.

Well, on the first point, Jess Todd has started 13 games this season and they appear to be bumping him from the rotation. And generally, they really don't make decisions on a guy like Barnes, an actual piece who could factor into their future, because of Pawtucket roster concerns. If they needed more innings from their starters at that level, they'd just promote an org guy like McCarthy or sign an indy ball guy, or something like that. If this is indeed what's happening, it's only got to do with Matt Barnes and how they see him helping in the majors, not Pawtucket roster needs.

Looks like the Red Sox added RHP Austin Glorious to their roster. Not a lot of info on him but looks to be an UDFA out of Valdosta State.
ADD: From what I can gather, he was dominating in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.

Barnes needs to be put back in the rotation for the time being.
He needs to improve his secondary pitches otherwise he will never have any success in the majors, regardless of if he is a starter or reliever.

Thought at 1st the pen was going to be the only way he may help the team, but he just never seemed to improve all year at Boston, or at Pawtucket. He's going to need another pitch other than that FB/CB combo with his iffy command to make it back to the big leagues, what he's got isn't going to cut it sorry to say. Maybe a quick learner with Pedro on a changeup grip? I hope so for his sake with a guy many of us have really liked for several years now.

He (Glorius) had a really good summer. Here is a nice story of his feats over June, July and August in the BA and MLB recognized Florida League where he was pitcher of the month the 1st week: Austin Glorius
