Its just a good thing castillo had tomspend most of the year in AAA in favor of alejanddro de bleepin aza. And before you start with the ada is a pretty goodmplayer and castillo needed time in AAA just stop. Please just stop. And before you start with the let it go already, i understand where you are coming from but i just cannot get over how bad the major league level on field personel decisions have been for two straight years now. My best wishes to John Farrell for a speedy recovery and healthy life but he cannot manage this team next year.
Oh and even though he is pitching well so far tonight, and has the last couple times through, i still say joe kelly sucks. Don't care what the peripherals say.

It's inexcusable that Rusney isn't the everyday lineup.

It's inexcusable that Rusney isn't the everyday lineup. So what would a lineup with 9 Castillos produce?

Am I alone in thinking that Samardzija looks like Kelly who walks less batters? Their stuff looks quite similar to me.

If you're going to make a horrendous tag attempt at least keep your glove on the guy who's sliding. Poor defense by Holt.

Throw Hanley at 1B vs one of the lefties.

What do we make of Joe Kelly's recent resurgence? Is he maybe not completely horrible?

Joe Kelly, I don't hate watching you pitch anymore and pretty soon i might even enjoy it.

I think Kelly relied too much on the heat earlier in the season and knows to mix it up.

Nobody is giving Kelly a spot. If he earns it then it's his.

"G'dammit, we're holding JBJ out to give him time against the lefties and we'll keep doing it until it works!" People need to stop using this meme because it's BS. His OPS against lefthanders this year is 1.344. Maybe they are saving him for port siders

I really think not moving Hanley to the IF has to do with his comments about how he considers himself an outfielder. I think he'd prefer to play the outfield because it's easier on his body, (and maybe because he could get away with being a little lazier out there) and the team doesn't want to go against the veterans preference just yet. And if Hanley considers himself an outfielder, then I consider myself a super modelAnd if you consider yourself a mind reader, then I consider myself the Prince of Greatlandia. Dude, it's based off what he said... fullcount.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/2015/06/10/hanley-ramirez-has-no-intention-of-ever-returning-to-infield/

Kelly out after exactly three times through the order? Is that coincidence or actual strategy?

Kelly has been a solid fifth starter this year so far, at least according to FIP and xFIP.

Thanks for the link but I'd seen that one also. Do you have one for the Red Sox not wanting "to go against the veterans preference yet"? Or the (maybe) "lazier" in the OF? Thanks in advance.

It's inexcusable that Rusney isn't the everyday lineup. It was even worse when Farrell was managing. Now at least they appear to be cycling between Castillo,JBJ, Mookie and Hanley, giving everyone a fair chance. Before it was Mookie, De Aza and Hanley with Jackie and Castillo not really getting a fair shot at all. Farrell picks his veteran favorites regardless of whatever is best for the team and quite frankly I really hope Dombrowski has zero tolerance for that crap if Farrell comes back.

He also said he wanted to be a SS before this year. I don't really care what he says.

No man, I said I think it's based off his comments. As in, if he expressed that to the team they might be more lenient to his preference, even as he proves he's not a good outfielder. What's with this need to be so petty about others comments?
