Gameday for Portland is way behind. Middle 4th, Dogs up 1-0. Wilkerson is using 4 pitches and is commanding all of them but I haven't heard a velocity when I was watching.
Sloppy game 5 errors already.
Moncada led off with a single and stole 2nd but was stranded. Already his 8th SB.
Dogs still up 1-0 bottom of the 6th. Wilkerson 2H 1BB 5 or 6 Ks (I think) Mixing pitches and throwing strikes. Hitting the catcher's mitt with everything. I haven't seen anything hit hard by either team.
Slugger has some excellent moves.

Should we be getting excited about Wilkerson, I know he doesn't have great stuff, but is getting very good results.

Mercedes relieved Wilkerson and Drive are now down 5-1. I don't know where his stuff went but he's looking very hittable when he finds the plate.
8 errors in the game and at least two more that weren't technically errors.
Hartford/Portland going back and forth for the lead in errors. Portland just pulled ahead with their fifth error. They're down 7-1 now.

Should we be getting excited about Wilkerson, I know he doesn't have great stuff, but is getting very good results. The SeaDog announcers seem to think so. They're knowledgeable and aren't prone to fluffing what they are seeing. Game mercifully over. 8-1 final. The Rockies have some decent starters on the way up the ladder. Salem 1-1 in the 7th. Moncada has 3 SB now (10). Betts 3/3 is now hitting .412. Doubles by Moncada and Mars and another triple (5) for Benintendi. SalSox now up 3-1 in the 9th.

Can we stop with the "Benny Baseball" stuff. Really. Not even a Hall of Famer should have that label.

Salem Sox pitchers with 0 K's and 0 walks in the game. Not something you see everyday.

Where does one find things like that? No good public database to search. Box scores only go back so many years, too. Meanwhile, Moncada with 2 strikeouts, a walk, two singles, and three steals of 2B. And Benintendi now has 4 singles, 4 doubles, and no homers to go along with the 5 triples.

Speaking of nicknames, apparently Moncada's called monkey and Devers is called "Gordito" which means...little fat. If it means the Sandoval production in SF, I'm cool with that

FWIW, Devers has a big body but he's definitely not "fat." It's a big body, especially for his age, but that doesn't mean an out-of-shape body.
Not just directed to you, radiohix - I've seen concern in a couple threads about his being Sandoval 2.0.

Yes I know that he's big bodied but not fat (I listen religiously to the podcasts after all heh) and I mentioned the Sandoval comparaison as a wink if you will to the discussions in the other threats you're refering to. I know from the interview you've done with his manager in GVL that he loves to work so no concerns what so ever from my part.

Gordito is also a term of affection a mom would call her son, or a girl would call her young boyfriend. It's kind of like saying "my dear little son"...
His mom probably called him that and they heard about it.

Josh Ockimey had his day. 4/5 with HR and double. He's at .324 / .410 / .676 in 39 PA. He's 3rd in the league in OPS, but the leader is 23, so he's 2nd among prospects to the Royals' C Chase Vallot (2014 1st round pick, repeating the level). Tiny SS, but that he can even do that in that sample is very encouraging. Meanwhile, Chavis, who's just 2 1/2 months older, is up to .350 / .395 / .500 in 43 PA.
