OK, we've seen the Sox against two of the teams playing very bad baseball, let's see how they do against a team with the best record in the AL so far. (and missing their best pitcher).

Is that enough to get Young bat going?

Looking at the ERAs, I can see tonight will be a slugfest and tomorrow will be a pitchers' duel.

Very tough series, 2 out of 3 would be huge, but even taking 1 game would not be bad. White Sox are dialed in right now.

A good series to get C. Young going and for Hanley to hit a couple taters.

Sox have struggled vs LHP in a SSS this year to the tune of a .605 OPS in 113 AB's. That's putrid. Might also be a reason Marco Hernandez was the option, rather than Rutledge. Dunno what the solution is, but Young needs to hit, and the other RHB need to step up as well as Hanley, Pedroia, Bogaerts and the catchers are all hitting below the team OPS vs LHP.

That's about the equivalent to 3-4 games. So SSS yeah. Probably has more to do with not seeing LHP often enough. On paper, they're great vs LHP and I expect they will be in the end.

I also think they've seen disproportionately few left-handed starting pitchers (where you can stack the lineup with righties) and disproportionately many left-handed relievers (where you usually have a bad matchup or need to deal with the pinch-hit penalty).

Dan HayesVerified account @csnhayes John Danks has been DFA'd by White Sox.
Probably was worried that Chris Young would get going.

There's one of those extensions that didn't work out too well. $65 million over 5 years got them a total of 2.5 fWAR.

Danks actually is one of those pitchers who you better put LH hitters against him than RHH: His CH is his best pitch (Like Hank Owens)

Not that they're extremely similar, but Adam Eaton has always reminded me of AZ/CWS' Jackie Bradley. Really respect his game.
He's actually #1 in bWAR in the MLB right now.
