Really good start to the season for Ball. Solid control today, missed some bats (6Ks), got ground balls ... good stuff.

I am flying up to Maine on Wednesday...and the annual wanton lobstah orgy is on order. It may always be lobster season but you surely have to admit there's a big difference between soft-shell and hard-shell lobsters, at least IMO. ALWAYS ask for hard shell, especially during molting season. Good to see Trey Ball not walking people. Great outing! You often don't have a choice, but sometimes during molting season. Either way, some people prefer soft shells. They typically have less meat, but the meat is more tender and bit sweeter in flavor. Plus they're easier to break into. Hard shells have meat that is sometimes tough and less flavorful, although there's more of it.

Also a good day for Kelly who might be forcing the issue. 6.1 IP 5 H 1 BB 10 K 0 ER I sure hope he's forcing the issue, as he's lined up to play Saturday, and they need a starter that day.

From SoxProspects.com (perhaps you've heard of it): Projects as an organizational arm. Ceiling of an emergency major league arm. Lacks a true above-average pitch and has consistently been behind the age curve due to his late signing. Has strong pitchability and a decent four-pitch mix, but his stuff will be tested by Triple-A hitters. Unlikely to be a major league contributor, but has shown can handle Double-A, and with experience should settle in as a solid Triple-A contributor. Yes, I've heard of it lol. Just seems that his numbers have been better than the scouting report portrays him as. Heck, I'm sure he'd do better than Henry Owens if he were to start for Boston this week. (and Clay Buchholz for that matter) In this instance, I can tell you that the scouting report on Wilkerson has been updated in the past month.

And if anyone is in the area tomorrow night let me know. We won't be using the tickets. I sent you a private message but no response yet. I am in the area and was planning on going to the game. If you still have tickets kicking around, please PM me.

Sure, that's actually pretty obvious from the report itself in this case. The point is that I generally don't even bother to look these scouting reports up because I hate not knowing from when they are.

Soft shell/hard shell, doesn't matter to me since I don't eat the shell and the meat hS the same texture and taste. Soft shell is usually less expensive, too. Also recommend soft shell crabs. Joe Kelly on a track to take O'Sullivan's spot next series. Good to see the control and Ks up.

With the posteponement they can no longer do that (unless they pitch Wright on three-days rest which isn't out of the question.)

See, this is where you're wrong. Any professional lobster consumer can tell the difference. You must keep to chicken lobsters, in that case, it's not much different but anything 2-lbs and up you can really tell/taste the difference.
