These umpires need to all rot in hell.

I've never understood the HBP rule. At least not the same way the umpires understand it.

Maybe someday, Clay should trust his catcher for a few pitches and see how it works out.

...so the ump knows better than Travis whether Travis got hit?

Travis himself said it was a foul ball!

This entire umpiring crew needs to be demoted to Tulsa.

Haha ... Travis even tells the ump that it was a foul ball.

If the Sox get swept here they will be responsible for letting Toronto back into the race. They were out of the race? In May? I didn't do the math but if Sox had swept them, I would've said their chance of winning first place was less than 10%, so yeah.

Who had Steven Wright as the ace, Clay Buchholz as the shutdown long man, and Travis Shaw as the cleanup hitter in April? Baseball is a funny game sometimes. Our statistical projections continue to be sound bets for predicting guys with established MLB track records, but have a long way to go in terms of accounting for individual differences in ability to adjust, aging curves, and injury risks.

Good baserunning by Swihart there. Kind of makes up for the blunder earlier in the game.

Mookie should steal here. Pedey has been a DP machine this year.

Crazy! DP basically never swings at the 1st pitch and he chose to swing here when Mookie can get the easy steal!

Bah, Mookie could have scored on that if it hadn't hopped over the fence.

Is there a strong argument for letting Buchholz finish it up?
