Win the first two and call up someone from AAA for the day to mop up for Clay to save the bullpen for the next series.

Win the first two and call up someone from AAA for the day to mop up for Clay to save the bullpen for the next series. That shouldnt be a problem. Throwing away sunday afternoon games is Farrells specialty.

If I had any faith in the bullpen, or hadnt watched a game this week, I'd call for a sweep.

Rangers lead all of MLB in winning more games than their stats say they should have: 9.0. They've also had an easy schedule, adding another 2.5 wins. When you adjust their schedule, they've been outplayed by their opponents (.488 BaseRuns). They're an insane 17-7 in 1-run and extra-inning games, and they've also hit and pitched better with RISP than without.
We're up to 10-12 in 1-run and extra-inning games, but we're still second-worst in MLB in win efficiency, at -5.7 wins versus the stats. A big part of that is the pitchers having big unfavorable splits by leverage, and (to a lesser extent) bad ones RISP versus not. Our OPS+ allowed is 86 in low-leverage, 106 in high. The difference ranks 23rd in MLB.

Although we have been making #5 pitchers look like Cy Young lately, I think we dodge a bullet with no Darvish, Hamels, Holland, Colby Lewis in this series.

Hanley had a chance to be dangerous with the hanging slider he looked at.

Gosh, it surely is flummoxing to see Ramirez continue to hit behind Ortiz. Why would anyone pitch to Big Dave?

A Red Sox starter giving up a HR. Now that's unusual.

Wasn't there an attempt by Cherington to acquire pitchers with high GB rates? This team gives up a ton of HRs.

He had nothing to fool Beltre with.
This has the feel of a high-scoring loss.

Brentz over throws the cutoff man, another runner in scoring position. At some point, this team will come out of this funk. They are having some good swings against Price.

I'm at loss for words. The team kept giving up HR in every game and fall behind the score. They should catch Nick Martinez now. No excuse if they cannot hit & get some runs.
