Before I go buy tickets for tonight's game in Lowell, can someone tell me anything about Kevin Steen, who has pitched in a total of 16 games since being drafted in 2014? Honestly, it's not a name I even recognize. Thanks.

There was a scouting scratch posted yesterday that included him: news.soxprospects.com/2016/06/scouting-scratch-kevin-steen-enmanuel.htmlIt can also be found on the home page of this site.

9 straight wins? Lowell must be loaded with prospects! The offense has been a little slow starting (other than some timely hits from Hill) but it's all about the starting pitching in Lowell so far.

9 straight wins? Lowell must be loaded with prospects! Well, they certainly have established a culture of winning. So the quality of the prospects/players won't matter as much - they're all winners!

9 straight wins? Lowell must be loaded with prospects! Best pitching staff I've ever seen there, and the draftees haven't shown up yet.

Check out the GCL box score. Jordan Weems get the W, after pitching 1/3 inning, the final out in the 4th. Victor Garcia went 3 scoreless innings after that, no hits, 1BB, 3K's. He gets the hold, along with Marban. Clemente gets the save.
Maybe I don't know much about scoring, but wouldn't Garcia get the W? Isn't it the official scorer's choice if the starter doesn't go 5? I know this is unimportant, but I thought it was odd.

LeClerc is starting the suspended game. McGrath is scheduled for game 2.
After that, the scheduled rotation is Ball/Kent/TBA/Lakins/McGrath. The TBA is apparently Kopech's spot but they're waiting to see if he can go.

I saw them last night at HV. DeJesus looked like he knows how to pitch. The ump had a low strike zone and he pounded the bottom. Not blinding speed but seemed to have a decent FB (no stadium gun as far as I could tell) and then gradually mixed in more breaking balls as the game went on. The defense was very good and helped him and later Janssen out by throwing out two runners at the plate. Tyler Hill also made a fine diving catch to maintain DeJesus early no-hitter in the fifth. The offense, however, looked very weak. Only Hill looked like an offensive threat.

The LF answer might be Henry Ramos.

The LF answer might be Henry Ramos. I've been secretly rooting hard for Ramos ever since he was traded. If he gets the call up and does well enough to stay, I'll be thrilled.

Bubba Bell was one of my favorite non-prospects once upon a time. He tore up the lower minors but he had trouble at AAA and by the time he started to hit well there he was 27. He hit better than Ramos in the lower minors but Ramos is hitting better than Bell did in the upper minors. That probably means he is a better prospect.

Ramos never had the help of Lancaster, either
