It's a much tougher deal to swallow if the Sox didn't have Kopech/Groome.
It still sucks, because Espinoza had a chance to be really special, but he was still a good deals away.
Pomeranz has been great this year. There is a high cost to picking up guys like Pomeranz, though I would have thought he could have been the prime piece of a bigger package for a guy with a longer history of success.
But again, they're trading an 18-year-old, who is very high risk with a very high reward. I'm annoyed, but DD's history on these types of deals has been better than most
