No BB for Kopech is almost as impressive as the 11Ks. No idea on the quality of the hitters he faced but the control, at least from that metric, is impressive.

CV .364 / .417 / .545 in his last 9 G / 36 PA. Catching up on some reading recently, so don't know how old the news was, but they've gotten rid of the big leg kick he picked up over the offseason for a toe tap and he felt good about it. Looks like it's starting to lead to results.

I wonder if, with Dombrowski now running the show, they might be more inclined to promote him for a start or two and then demote him? I don't see why you couldn't do that. It might be a good bit of positive reinforcement for a player who took his lumps earlier in the year, both publicly and in part behind the scenes, assuming that he's been a model citizen in Salem.

The best part of it all, in my opinion, is that if Vazquez is hitting solidly in AAA, we won't have to see Holaday in the playoffs if we do make them.

Promote him to Pawtucket you mean? And if his inner pedro still comes out, then the big show?
