The moment you realize Devers is only one stolen base away from ending the season tied for top 10 in the system.

Always a sad day ... pretty good year for the minor league system, with some decent depth developing in the lower minors. Still a pretty thin system, though, and the loss of any international talent over a multi-year period is going to sting for a while.
But, still, Mauricio Dubon covers a lot of sins!

Juan Perez and Oddanier Mosqueda combined to limit the Rangers to 1 run on 3 hits and the DSL Red Sox #1 take a 2-1 lead in the DLS Championship Series. 9 K's and only 1 BB for the Sox pitchers today.

So still some more games left Box score for DSL shows Sox pitchers having completed 9 innings with one run having scored, so I presume they won. So is that it? Sox1 DSL champs?

Thread has it as a semi, post above has it as the championship series. If it's a semifinal, how many games is the final series?

It was a remnant from the previous series. Just one of the things that I'm not in the habit of checking.

Lowell will be the #3 seed in the NYPL playoffs and will take on the Hudson Valley Renegades (TB). Best of three (Lowell hosts game 1 on Wed. night).
Salem will take on Myrtle Beach in the Carolina League playoffs. Game 1 is Wed. night in SC, with Kopech on the mound.

Mauricio Dubon with his customary 2-4 today. Looks like he finished 339/351/538 in AA ball.
No extra boosterism here: he had a great year. Adding some slugging to his game at the AA level has to be considered a surprise.

It will be interesting to see how Kopech does in the playoffs. Because of his earlier troubles he hasn't built up innings, so he should be fresh and strong. Let's see what he does against top competition. I see that Dubon is now projected by this site to start at Pawtucket next year. If he indeed starts there and handles that level, the organization is going to have to figure out what to do with him sooner rather than later.

I saw Javier Guerra didn't have a good year in Hi-A (.202 ave, .325 slug, 589 OPS). Was surprised he didn't improve his numbers being in the Calif League. I realize he's still young (20) so he has time to turn it around.

Adding some slugging to his game at the AA level has to be considered a surprise. In A+ he built the foundation by making contact (9% K Rate!!) and laying off bad pitches (11.9% BB rate) and in AA he started to get agressive when he get pitches he likes and drove them (An outstanding .199 IsoP with a 13.4% K%). He's also, as you can attest, a great kid.
