Not sure what it is about the Yankees, but Price just can't seem to miss bats against this lineup. He hasn't had one good game against the Yankees all year. Strange.

You just can't make excuses for Farrell here. Every game until they clinch needs to be treated like a playoff game. There was literally no reason to bring Price out to start the inning with a completely rested pen.
And what a nothing performance by Price. There's no excuse against this Yankee offense which was shutout in 3 straight games last week.

I get that Farrell tries to show trust in his guy and ride his supposedly "ace", but leaving Price to start the 7th inning was not good.

Really bad job by Farrell with a completely rested bullpen. Absolutely no need to try to get Price innings here. That's such a bad job by Farrell and Price. He's now been ahead 0-2 of 3 straight hitters and they've all gotten hits. A pitcher couldn't come up smaller on any given night. Embarrassing. Our ace should be able to get the bottom of the order out. I have no issue with him starting this inning.

The Sox get 2 huge runs to tie the game and Price can't even shut down the bottom of the Yankees' impotent lineup to give them a chance.

Why expand the roster - why have a deep bullpen - if one is going to manage like this. Infuriating....

Ya'll are acting like a bunch of pampered babies. 4-4 you keep the perceived ace in when he's under 90 pitches.

Our ace should pitch better Nothing previous in this game indicated Price could have pitched better. Call it a bad night, use the deep pen, get him out of there. Inexcusably horrible managing.

You just can't let Tyler Austin homer off you ever. He's a nothing.

I'd love to know the last time Price allowed 3 straight hits after getting up 0-2. I'm going to venture a guess that that was the first time in his career. A testament to how little command and stuff he had tonight. Have a feel, as they say.

Just read a tweet from Alex Spier: Price has given up 6+ earned runs five times this season. Three of those five have come against the Yankees. Sometimes baseball is funny like that. The Yankees just seem to have his number this year, for whatever reason.

It was the bottom of the damn order. Our ace should pitch better I know and I'm not flat out criticizing the move because I like how Farrell trusts his guys regardless of the situation, he's just a chill dude. It didn't work this time and Price was looking awful all game.

What rule says you need to leave your ineffective pitcher in? There was a lot of hard contact tonight and only two strikeouts for Price. You don't need to keep him in if it doesn't look like it's his night.

Bullpens are soooo good nowadays. Especially ours over the last month. There's no reason to not have them pitch the 7-9 unless your starter is completely mowing down the opposing lineup. It's just laziness.

One bad outing and here he is! Why are so negative, dude?

Price vs. NYY in 2016
6 starts. 27.67 innings. 26 Earned Runs. 6 Home Runs. 14 Strikeouts. 8.46 ERA.
So, kinda good the Yankees didn't make the playoffs.
