Price gonna Price. This is the least surprising outcome that could have been expected.

And here we go. Notice Price has struck out absolutely nobody, but yeah, let's criticize Cleveland's pitching. It was more a statement about the choice of pitches..but point well taken. My bad.

Yeah, spare me about luck. This game already feels like it's gone. Our expensive pitcher is well on his way to an 0-8 post-season starting record.
This team is so damn disappointing at times.

Well then. I think on that note I'll check how the project is going that I'm supposed to be working on.

Hate to be that guy, but that's probably the season. Don't have the confidence in this team that they can dig themselves out of a hole similar to the '04, '07 and '13 teams. Just a more talented team that is way too streaky and entered the playoffs absolutely deflated. Should have played for the homefield advantage, but hey, it is what it is.

Hey, I want the Sox to win as badly as you do, and on paper they should, but in Cleveland the Indians are a totally different team and the Sox fail to do the little things they need to do to win games. Stringing hits together would be nice but the Sox have failed to do that. That 3 run HR was a crusher. The Indians didn't let their opportunity pass.

Next base runner and you need to get someone up in the bullpen. Buchholz, Rodriguez, anyone who can eat innings.
lol price is such fragile trash, its almost beautiful.
This game is hardly over but it will be if they let Price get a man to second base.

This is what Price is at this point. He'll get you innings during the regular season, which has value. But he absolutely will not dominate a quality opponent like you need in the playoffs. We've seen that all year long so it shouldn't be surprising.

Price is absolutely losing it on the mound right now. He can't bounce back. This postseason thing is cemented in his head now.

This team is an underachieving team. They are so talented, but there's something missing - something that you feel inside you, but can't put into some numerical context. For one wonderful 11 game period when Hanley took Betances deep I felt that they could translate their talent onto the field, but then when they lost to the Yankees in that awful clincher it started to feel like it was all season long, a very good team that's missing what is needed to win games when they really, really have to.

Sad to say I am not surprised. Team is just carrying over issues from poor end of season performance.

Playoff performances aren't predictive they said. He'll pitch like an ace they said.

It's not over guys, you gotta stay with it to the bitter end, if that is what ends up. Even if they lose today, it's not over. Remember 2004.

Sad to say I am not surprised. Team is just carrying over issues from poor end of season performance. It's not necessarily true as to how you play at the end of the season that it carries into the post-season, but from the time they blew that Yankee clincher, they seemed to sleep walk thru the rest of the season, blew the HFA and have continued to play like crap. It reminds of the 1988 season when the Sox played a bunch of exhausting series in September and built up a big enough lead that when the air came out of the balloon they were able to barely hang on and win the division and then they had nothing left for the playoffs against a superior Oakland team. This post-season and ending of the season has that feel. It's like the Sox peaked too soon.

Sad to say I am not surprised. Team is just carrying over issues from poor end of season performance. I think it's the nature of this team. They have been very streaky all year, the consistency just hasn't been there. It happens when your rotation is good but not flat out dominant and your offense is mostly young guys. It's frustrating, but they have nearly always fought back from early holes so there's this bit of hope.

It's not over guys, you gotta stay with it to the bitter end, if that is what ends up. Even if they lose today, it's not over. Remember 2004. I didn't think that 04 team would pull off the miracle, but that team was a ballsier team than this one, at least I think so, FWIW. I mean yeah the Sox can win three in a row, but what's to stop Cleveland from winning one more game this series? It's certainly not the Red Sox pitching staff, and the lineup hasn't really hit in some time.
