That would be a really weird thing to fake, right?
Anyhow, following.

Hahaha I already set my avatar picture of Ryan Kallish looking like a homeless guy and Lars Anderson looking like a hippie with a guitar. What a awesome picture.

So Brandon Phillips used his NTC to refuse a trade to the Braves. In November it had been reported he was "more willing" to waive his NTC. With only a year left before FA, I can understand why he said no.

Orioles have swapped Gallardo and cash with the Mariners for Seth Smith. Musta been a boatload of cash.
Maybe we'll get Aneurysm Tavarez back.

The trade of Seth Smith for Gallardo today with 2 million dollars cash should make everyone feel better about the Buchholz trade. The Mariners showed that they probably weren't willing to take the full salary in a trade for Buchholz. The Phillies might of been the only team that may of been willing to take the full salary for Buchholz.

In the Phillies case, they are big market and can afford the salary but more importantly, it appears that their game plan is to load up on short term contracts to be in a wheeling and dealing driver's seat at the trade deadline. Clay was a good fit for that scenario, if he has a good first half he'll net them a nice prospect profit. The Sox weren't in a good position to play it that way.

Wow, #1 prospect projected as a #5 starter or reliever

Their updated report on Banda says they see him as potentially being a mid-rotation starter now. But yeah, not the profile of your usual top prospect. Bad major league team and potentially no Top 100 prospects.

Ali Solis and Chris Dominguez both signed with the Cubs. Maybe players sign with the Sox as a back door to the Cubs.

Maybe players sign with the Sox as a back door to the Cubs. Lester always struck me as the type to see out a long con.

Trevor Plouffe is gone to the A's on a one year deal for anyone hoping you land him. I kind of thought he wouldn't accept a reserve role just yet in his career.

His salary hasn't been reported yet but I assume it isn't much. He'll probably be the starting 3B so if he's good the A's can flip him at the deadline, but if he's bad it's not like they're losing (I assume) much money.
