Brock Holt in April from 2014-2016: .319/.403/.437 At least the BA and OBP look like Papi.

Hey, look, Brock Holt is alive... and DHing... Who would have thought the replacement for Big Papi was the Brock Star all along? Holt must be barely breathing to be DH'ing instead of Young. That's sort of what I was thinking. But at the same time, if Holt is still dealing with the tail end of flu symptoms to the point where he cant play the field, why bother putting him in the lineup at all? I'd rather give him another day and give Selsky a start at that point.

This is a cluster because of flu bug. Still takes 27 outs. Our guys are ready to go. Let's see if we can't sneak away with one without our best.

I am calling it now, out of necessity more than anything else, big day for Sandoval.

Very nice catch by Young battling the wind in foul territory.

Why ever throw a strike to Sandoval?

i don't care if it was a little league manager, there isn't anyone in this world who would bat Moreland in the clean up. Bradley, Leon. I am pretty furious about this and I don't like arguing about minutiae

It's the third game of the season and I'm already sick of Moreland and the use of him by Farrell. I'll say it first, dump Moreland and promote Sam Tavis.

At least Wright looks like his former all-star self.

I don't know if you have to dump Moreland necessarily, I don't think he is doing the player any benefit batting that high in the order. There isn't the recent track record of hitting for the guy. It is a new team for him. It so fu**ing stupid. We have had him take this in consideration for other players.

Man, it'd be nice if that ball went fair to that first JBJ pitch. Instead, fly ball and then quick double play.

Pablo kicked it into deceptively spry Panda speed there. Very nice.

Well Fulmer could always hit Benintendi to get to Moreland again.

Squander #2. Spring training squads such as today's line-up often don't get a lot of chances, either - especially when they are playing against the other team's varsity.
Curse you Influenza!

Wright's fastball command is so good. He's got the perfect fastball to go along with that good knuckleball. He's going to be great again this year if he stays healthy.

Lol I'm late to this but Fulmer threw a fastball right down the middle and blew it by Moreland.

I think it's been all fastballs to Moreland today (most 4-seam, some 2-seam) They can get him out up-and-in at will
