Man baseball is weird. The hardest hit ball was Pedrioa and he grounded out. This whole first inning is like the twilight zone. Hanley absolutely smoked that single.

When things are going right for a guy... they continue to go right. Moreland with the seeing eye single, through the shift, no less!

Beckham had a play on that but abandoned the ball in hopes of turning two and the ball was out of reach of the second baseman. Five runs and six hits in a game that probably should be scoreless with only Hanley's hit on the board. Tight zone, shaky D and everything falling - it could be a wild one today. Both pitchers already around 30 after one...

Five outs. Five ks by Pomeranz. Too bad his pitch count is early so high.

I wonder how many pitches Pomeranz gets.

I wonder how many pitches Pomeranz gets. He had a pitch count of 90-95 last game. So maybe 95-100 this game, I'd imagine.

Has he abandoned the cutter? Is this an injury avoidance thing? Or what? He looks like a two-pitch pitcher to me. Great combo of two pitch stuff, but not a lot of leeway or ways to keep 'em guessing.

You talking about Pomeranz or Cobb? Cobb looks like a two pitch pitcher too. He has completely forgot how to throw his use to be nasty change up it looks like.

Six strikeouts through two innings! So it ends with seven consecutive outs by K.

Well, I was just talking about Pomeranz, but good obs on Cobb. Not sure if it's just a bad game for him tho. Seems like Pomeranz hasn't been throwing the cutter at all...even last year after the trade, I can't much remember it.

So now we got a pickoff in this game too. All we are missing is a balk call, a homerun hit off someones head in this game, and a bird exploding on a pitch being thrown to homeplate.

Seems to have deception on his 2 pitch mix anyways. You don't need much to fool this rays lineup.

Wow that ball was crushed. That had to go at least 450 feet.

He's fooling 'em, except when he isn't. Multiple innings of Barnes coming up soon.

They mark that triangle at 420 feet and it went 15-20 rows over the triangle. That's weird.

He's fooling 'em, except when he isn't. Multiple innings of Barnes coming up soon. He's given up really one mammoth hit and the 2 others should have been outs. I think he has been fooling them all game. The ump really screwed with Pomeranz in the first inning too.
