Walk and a base hit and you start to wonder why in gods name you send Hanley. This team should have double digit runs right now.

Just when you think it can't get worse. This team is a lock for a double play any time a runner is on base. The Sox should be up 10-2 right now.
Keep letting them hang around with Pomeranz on the mound and this razor thin bullpen.

Wow Baez is so incredibly smooth defensively. You can blame the Sox all you want but the Cubs have made all the tough plays to stay in this one.

Bullpen needs to be up here. Have a feel Farrell.
Literally no reason to not have the pen up. None.

Moreland has been less than impressive with the gold glove that he was supposed to come with. That's a bad error. Real bad.

I honestly don't know because the broadcast isn't telling me, but please let there be people warming.

I honestly don't know because the broadcast isn't telling me, but please let there be people warming. Joe Kelly is warming. Baez is probably his last batter. Either that or Schwarber.

7 runners stranded over the last 3 innings on three double plays. It's a team playing scared.

Good thing the Sox just sent down the left handed reliever that can get RHB out in Robbie Ross Jr today. Could of helped against Almora and then Schwarber there.

Rizzo pulled Kelly's 1-1 pitch into his own dugout. That pitch was clocked at 102 mph.
Tells you all you need to know about how batters see the pitch out of Kelly's hand.

He's hitting 102 yet he's hanging sliders and bouncing them for no reason. Kelly is so frustrating.

I really wish Kelly could put it all together at the same time. It always seems like the full potential of his tools are never clicking together.
I'm wondering if this type of pitching, and I'm being broad here, is what made the Sox willing to trade Kopech. 100+ velocity is great, but it's not getting you anywhere if you can't command your pitches. Especially the off speed pitches.

I just don't get a guy throwing 102 getting hurt on weak sliders.

Throwing out Rizzo at home actually should have been fairly routine there for JBJ. Could have gotten him out with even an average throw.
As bad as the offense has been, the defense has been more disappointing the last week.
Kimbrel needs to be ready for four outs.

I just don't get a guy throwing 102 getting hurt on weak sliders. His fastballs get hit too. I really just don't like Kelly all that much in general.

Kimbrel has thrown three pitches in the last calendar week. Feel free to deploy your best bullpen weapon in order to get a much-needed victory.

I just don't get a guy throwing 102 getting hurt on weak sliders. Rizzo was out in front of his 102 mph fastball like it was a changeup. There's nothing in Kelly's resume to indicate he's a good pitcher.
