Mata/Matuella's a nice pitching matchup for the folks of Hickory.
Matuella's numbers kind of suck because they're going extremely slowly with him and he has a 2/3 IP, 6 ER start in his six outings. But in his last three, he's gone 9-6-1-1-1-13.

PawSox and Portland already rained out.
DSL box is actually up! Sox pick up first win, 6-2. Gregory Santos and Manuel Being Manuel Ramirez combined for 6 shutout innings to start.

Mata through 3 innings:
10 batters faced, 1 BB, 1 single (then caught stealing), 3 K's, 34 pitches, 22 strikes (if this data is to be believed)
ADD: Cedrola replaced after the first inning. Not he was hurt running out a ground ball or what. But certainly looks like some sort of injury.
ADD #2: Mata's final line (I assume he's done after 6 innings)
6IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K's 80 pitches, 53 strikes

From the PawSox website at MiLB.com: "The PawSox have already played four doubleheaders this season and now have six more on the schedule." "Pawtucket has now suffered 9 postponements this season (5 at home and 4 on the road) among their first 57 scheduled playing dates (16%)."

Alright maybe a moderator can fix this if they all post, my posts keep deleting and reappearing? Or I'm just an idiot.
I was trying to say that "yes Im not a prognosticator, and am obviously more prone to knee jerk reactions than you all.... but Chavis/Mata in the top 5 may be the hill I'm willing to die on"

@crawdadsbeat Follow More Red Sox #27 prospect Bryan Mata: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 80 pitches, 53 strikes. Fastball 90-91 moved well, curve a bit loopy, CH.

Also sounds like Cedrola pulled, maybe related to jogging out a groundout and pissing off coaches.
Mark Parker @crawdadsbeat 3h3 hours ago More Drive CF Lorenzo Cedrola (#15 BoSox pros) with an easy jog to 1B on a 4-3. Don't think it was received well by base coaches. Mark Parker @crawdadsbeat 3h3 hours ago More Red Sox # 15 prospect Lorenzo Cedrola did get pulled, but an inning later after his jog to 1B. Chris Madera now in CF for the Drive

Another very good day for Chavis and a solid one for Ockimey. Very nice start by Mata, too. Things are looking up in A-ball right now. Now if one of Buttrey/Callahan can just turn into Kimbrel lite (2017 version) and Devers can force a promotion with a prolonged hot streak, we might escape the deadline without having to trade any of them.

Can't wait for Antonio Police to make it to Boston to read Herald headlines: "Police handcuffs Yankees".
