Sanchez owns Price, and so does the Yankees. Only 5 more years. Price is opting out. Guy was ready to quit Vanderbilt to go work at Mickey D's after getting shelled in an intersquad game. Don't think he won't leave a bunch of money on the table to get out of a place he apparently deems "hell on earth".

He won't get jack in the market at this rate and nobody wants him for October.

It's going to be fun having David Price's corpse of an arm at 31 million a year for the next five years of his mid 30s. Embarrassing contract.

If he pitches like he did last year over the course of this next year and a half I could see him getting 4 years $80 M if not more. In total it will end up being right around what the Cards were offering initially. I dunno how anyone could expect him to stay with how hes been acting, guy is legit a crazy person.

NESN needs to ease up on these side graphics. NESN broadcast vs. Price - who had the worse night?

Guys I don't have the full math in front of me, but I believe David Price is somewhat overpaid.

It's official, we got our ***es handed to us. As far as Price, while I am somewhat sympathetic, you can't pindown other humans with eff bombs and claim you are in the right.

Effing Panda, man! Bentances walks two guys, throws a WP juices the bases and he swings at a first pitch one foot out of the zone and then looks at a strike 3 middle-middle! Unbelievable!

HANLEY RAMIREZ PA TOTAL for 2017-18: 204 846 PAs remaining for his option to vest

Could be the first positive thing the Boston sports media has done in my lifetime. I don't think he's going to give up a hundred million dollars to avoid John Tomase and Tony Massaroti though. I still think he's injured and that he's eventually going to have TJS, and this whole mediocre-at-best season will be for naught, and then all of next season he recovers, and the first couple months of 2019 he recovers and does a stint in Pawtucket. So he'll be coming off TJS and likely will suck in 2019 and no one will want to sign him so why would he opt out again? Just absolutely one of the worst contracts ever offered. It's such a dead horse but when is Dombrowski's contract up?

"846 PAs remaining for his option to vest" ------ And Hanley wants every one of them at DH.
I only expected to get one win in the big apple so I'm not that disappointed. Yes they stunk but until they get the full team back they aren't that good and won't be taking many 2/3's from good clubs.
They get Dustin back, then need the two relievers,EdRod. They have to make a decision on Panda. If they get some good news with this group and Porcello has a big second half they can still be pretty good.

He's simply not that good of a hitter.

Since the 23rd of May, Mookie's BABIP is .204! it's a mix of bad luck in there, he crushed a lot of balls to the warning tracks. He isn't a power guy and should take Bogaerts approach to just making contact and dunking it to the outfield. We have enough dinkers and dunkers already. Mookie has power from middle in. It appears that he is being pitched outside that zone and is still trying to pull...rolling over with weak grounders to the left side.
