JBJ has nutted it twice, too. Nothing to show for it.

Cool. I broke my own record for saying something that looks stupid immediately afterward. It must have taken two minutes before the Red Sox have their career high in runs scored against Tanaka (I don't think they've ever gotten him for 4 runs before!).
I'll keep working on breaking my record if it benefits the Sox in any way.

Remy stating that it should be illegal for a coach to bring a translator out to the mound with him. "Learn baseball language." Very cringeworthy. Between him and Schmidt yesterday, some not great comments about non-native English speakers. Learning another language, especially as an adult, is not easy. In regards to Tanaka vs the Red Sox, he was great against us last year, but had a 5.64 ERA in 4 starts against us in 2015 and a 4.50 in 3 starts in 2014. Heading into today his career ERA vs Sox is 3.54, with a weirdly low 6.1 k/9. His career stats are a 3.48 ERA and 8.18 k/9.

Pomeranz didn't back up Mookies throw and now doesn't cover the bag, all while averaging like 6 pitches per PA. Brutal.

You need to convert groundballs into outs. The balls hit by Hicks and Gregorius 100% have to be outs.

Just terrible team defense this game. And god only knows why no one is warming.

Way to get out of it. But I think Pomeranz is gassed.

Tremendous play by Marrero to turn that on a poor feed from Pomeranz.

The league MVP is whoever the dang Yankme pitching coach is. Any guy that can get Castro, Hicks, and Gregorious to be hitting the way they are is definitely earning his pay.

Tremendous play by Marrero to turn that on a poor feed from Pomeranz. He earned himself 10 hitless at-bats on that one play. Saved runs and killed the inning.

Benintendi with the first of hopefully 100 HR in Yankee Stadium (for the Red Sox only!)! You can bet more than a few Yankee diehards thought the same thing, dreaming about what he might look like in pinstripes. That was ridiculously easy, short porch or not.
