Hey, John Farrell - that "nothing" run Pomeranz gave up because he was done but you left him out there to try to get him a W? Yeah, it just made a whole lot kore difference. So did the one yielded by your reliable LOOGY when you let him pitch to not one but 3 righties. One run game in the 8, now with 2 on, big guy. Thanks.

Sox may have to score some runs in the 9th.
D has been disappointing.

I guess Kimbrel was bound to implode at some point this year.

Sox have bottom half coming up for 9th. Yankees have 1-2-3 for their frame. Sheesh.

Sox pitchers have thrown 191 pitches through 8 innings. Yanks only 111

I think W/L record does have some affect on a pitcher's confidance. Scott vs 3 right handers, especially with 2 LH coming up after them is hard to understand.

How many more pitches did Kimbrel have to throw? 12-13?
I thought that was tough pitch for Vasquez to block. Also think Mookie miss-played that Holiday hit to start the inning. Should've been caught?

I really don't feel good about Kimbrel going back out there. This is one of those outings where he gets behind in the count and throws a ton of pitches. I really don't want to see him up against Judge with 35 pitches thrown and a man on.

In other news, Scooter Gennett hit four home runs for the Reds tonight.

Jumped too early and kind of short-armed the ball. Probably catches that 8 out of 10 times. Also, Vazquez has got to anticipate the curve in the dirt and be ready to smother the ball.

Would have rather Sandoval hit lefty there then Rutledge. But they don't have the balls to tell the guy that they are paying $19M a year that hes no longer a switch hitter.

No scary bats on the bench to dip into, that's for sure.
