Greenville better watch out, he's been terrorizing the league.

Greenville better watch out, he's been terrorizing the league. .221/.309/.343/.651 28.9% K rate. The vegans aren't going to be happy about this. Burger King actually has a half decent veggie burger, believe it or not, or so I'm told at least. Also the coupon could be for fries, and everyone loves fries. - The Site's Resident Vegetarian Being serious though, that line's not awful for a guy who hasn't played baseball in years. Consider that he's striking out less than Bobby Dalbec, Mitchell Gunsolus, Yoan Aybar, Jagger Rusconi, Nick Sciortino, Isaias Lucena, and Stephen Reveles, and the same rate as Jerry Downs. His slash line compares well to a lot of guys on the Drive too. Granted, this probably says more about the state of the Drive lineup than anything, but still, that line says Tebow hasn't been completely overmatched, like you might think he'd be. Worth noting, however, that he has DRASTIC home/road splits (.829 vs. .373 OPS). Columbia's park has played more as a pitcher's park in the past, so either it's a routine thing or he's getting the s--- heckled out of him on the road and it's bothering him.

He's also a tad old for the league

Lowell's roster was updated. As of now, no Victor Garcia or Ramfis Berroa.
Cooney, Groome, Oduber, Sciortino, Lopez-Soto, Florentino are listed.

God help me if this discussion turns into a thing, but Burger King fries suck.
Tebow has done better than expected for me. If he was 3 years younger, you could squint and see a guy who actually advances through the minors. He's only getting further from his peak learning a new sport. Still kind hopes he sticks with it and advances a few levels.

Owens 4.2 IP, 7 BB, 2 WP, had 3 balls on another batter and then they went into a rain delay.

Diaz gives up his first hit in the 5th inning. He's looked really good so far.
Spoke a little too soon it seems, things unraveling quickly for Diaz in the 5th.

Chavis 0-3, 3K tonight.
Always seems like there’s that guy in Salem who rakes his way to Portland and gets promoted at the ASB. Forgive me if I miss one but I don’t get paid for this.

Its worth noting he was stellar through 5 in his last outing before giving up three hits without recording an out in the 6th. Seems like he is running into a wall which is fine for a guy getting his first taste of full season ball. His overall lines aren't too pretty with these disaster innings included, but I'm fairly encouraged by his performance so far.

He looked really great through 4 and in control, then he ran out of gas to open the 5th.

Nice to see Owens keeping his trade value low. He remains intriguing and there is precedent for tall left handers to finally figure things out late.

Why is Bazardo still in the DSL? Wouldn't surprise me if he comes up to the GCL once that season starts. 1-3 guys usually make the jump if they were borderline for that call-up and they play well down there to start the year. That said, DSL numbers need to be taken with an enormous grain of salt, especially when the player is as old as Bazardo has been (although his age could also be taken as part of the "why is he there?" question). Guys dominate there and come to even the GCL and immediately get exposed. The fact that he is back in the DSL as a 21yo makes me think there's not much there.
