Sox struggled to score against Philadephia and now run into the most relentless offense in baseball. This should be interesting.

They get lucky in missing Keuchel, who they'd have drawn in this series if he were healthy (they'd have missed McCullers).
Reddick on the DL too, but then Fisher hit a HR in his debut, so...

Great time for Mookie to go nuts and take the WAR lead in the AL - tied with Trout, just behind Judge. A few homers, a few doubles, a few great catches...and some heroics. I don't ask for much!

Is there anything scarier than Porcello against the HOU offense right now? We're going to need to score some runs badly.

What a dumb challenge by Houston there.

Really worried about Moreland's baserunning ability with the fractured toe.

Freaking Xander. You need to hit the ball in play with one out and a runner on third.
Edit- Moreland to the rescue.

Just terrible situational hitting on this team. Big time squander again. Xander is a lost soul right now.

Pomeranz looking great versus a great lineup and a low pitch count too.

The top of this Houston lineup just makes me so uneasy. Springer, Altuve, Correa. Just fantastic hitters.

Yes Yes Mookie with the assist!
Game too close for comfort. Some walks but Pomeranz needed to be perfect and he pretty much has. Need another run now!

Farrell left Pomeranz out there long enough to blow the lead.

Farrell thought process - "bullpen has been lights out. And they are fresh. So I will let my starter stay on even though he struggled last inning - and the meat of the order is coming up".
Huh? Game sometimes just moves too fast for John.

Game sometimes just moves too fast for John. Is it really Farrell's fault that our offense is beyond putrid and our flawed GM put together a flawed team?

Kelly has a rabbit's foot in his pocket sometimes. I have no idea how he got out of that but he did.
