Lin is my new binky. He belongs in the top 10. 😀 Unfortunately we dyslexics see 'nothing' in him.

Lin looks like he just robbed a home run in left center field. He's having a hell of a night.

Chavis just cleared the left field wall in his first AA at bat. Absolutely moon shot over everything. Not only first AB, but the first pitch! Well that doesn't do much for his walk totals.

Josh O with four BB. Showing better plate discipline or pitchers showing awareness of his power? Maybe a combo.

Dedgar really scattered 11 hits over 6 innings. Only allowed 1 run. 5K's & no BB's, too. Really hoping Trenton Kemp is off the DL soon for Salem.
Kyle Hart with another nice outing for Greenville. Requena with a clean inning & 2K's. He's an interesting arm. Unfortunately, Coonet struggled in his appearance for the Drive. Cedrola and Baldwin with 3 hits each and Espinal with 2, including the HR. Tyler was just 1-5 last night, but no K's. If he can keep his K's down, he could be a very intriguing prospect to follow.

Whoever reworked Lin's swing deserves a promotion, or maybe their own team. As others have noted, his groundball to flyball ratio has cratered. That might have been a fluke with a very small sample, but he's nearing 200 plate appearances and it's holding. It's very unlikely to be random. The way the ball comes off the bat is a function of the swing mechanics and that's something players work hard to repeat. The conclusion has to be that those mechanics have changed. I'm really curious to get the story on that.

Owens with 8 BBs through 4 IP lol Finally got to see Owens pitch. His front shoulder is flying open early and causing him all sorts of problems. His front leg landing and hips are inconsistent, The movement on his pitches is impressive. His changeup is a wow pitch. He has to get his legs and hips repeating properly and then keep his front shoulder closed longer. Maybe take this kid down to fort Meyers and rework the mechanics because the stufff is really good but the mechanics are whacked.

Unrelated, but is there a reason that Roldani Baldwin isn't playing more often? He's one of the more interesting prospects in the low minors to me. Is it a development/health thing due to him being a catcher? Catchers can't play every day, if that's what you're asking. His playing time is completely normal for a catcher. He entered today only 6 behind Rei for most plate appearances by a catcher in the system.

No offense but I think the Sox have reworked Owens mechanics at least 100 times now.
