I doubt it. The matchup against the Phillies 2 game set will likely be Price and Pomeranz. Yeah you're right. If Price pitches game one in Philly, it sets up Price to pitch in the last game versus NY. Also, since there is an off day between the Philly and NY series, if they hold Johnson after tomorrow until Philadelphia in relief, as eric pointed out, they would then have the option of Price, Pomeranz or Johnson for the 4th NY game. lol, are you a night person or do you not live in the Eastern Time Zone ?

Yeah I'm definitely a night time fella, I live in Massachusetts. It'll be Price, it has to be imo. He's the best out of the group by far.

Yeah I'm definitely a night time fella, I live in Massachusetts. It'll be Price, it has to be imo. He's the best out of the group by far. We'll see. In spite of what he's saying publicly, there's no way he isn't snake bitten against the Yankees. My opinion, if the Sox still have a 5 game lead at that point, there's more to gain by starting Price. If they've whittled the lead down, I'd rather have Johnson unless Pomeranz looks like he did the first 2 innings against Baltimore. The first two, his curve was excellent. The rain situation made that a bad test, I'm glad that the Sox are giving him another shot (but not overly optimistic).

Wait why does the Red Sox site say all the stats are gone? I thought they resumed suspended games from where they left off!

You can’t say enough bad things about the umps and Major League Baseball for starting this game in the first place. This league is run by the least competent humans on the planet. The decision to start the game rests solely with the home team. Once the game starts that decision then transfers to the umpires.Cora is furious with the decision to start game 1 of the series also. Ok, but these facts don’t align with my anti-MLB and anti-umpire narratives, so I’m going to choose to ignore them. The umps did decide to wait like 3 hours and then call the game 30 minutes before the rain stopped. This lack of judgment is pretty on brand for them, though.

The Yankees are as close to first place as they are out of the playoffs

While its annoying the MLB took away our 5 run lead, at least its against one of the worst teams of all time and not the Yankees or something.

I’m sure that will make up for the 5-0 lead the Sox had in this one... it’s pretty dumb that start over as opposed to picking up where they left off.
