Washington should just accept that they are not going to make the playoffs and trade free agents to be Outfielder Bryce Harper & SP Gio Gonzalez and at least get some kind of return on them in case they are unable to resign either of them this coming off season.

What would it take to get either of them or both?

I don't think Boston has the prospects to trade for Harper. I mean literally not four prospects as a group that the Boston Red Sox could package for a talent at that is Bryce Harper.
