Dozier with a hit and playing some good D so far. He'd look good in our lineup.

If they’re trading Mata it better be in a package for someone good AND controllable for more than just this season. Per Rob Bradford, Mata's back tightened up.

Swihart now rocking a .520 OBP for July. Leon's OPS for July is .463

Swihart now rocking a .520 OBP for July. He's really upping his trade value or becoming our next catcher.

Another candidate for worst missed strike call of the season. Pitch 3 vs. Dozier in 3rd inning.

I know it’s the Twins but explain to me how Pomeranz deserves to start over Johnson.

Maybe the Red Sox can put both Price and Eovaldi in the bullpen and roll with Sale/Porcello/Erod/Johnson

I know it’s the Twins but explain to me how Pomeranz deserves to start over Johnson. It's a one game test of Pomeranz during the trade period. Little to lose here. I'm more of a Johnson fan but the Sox would be foolish to let a rain situation be their decider on Pomeranz. His curve was sharp the first two innings against the Orioles. The real decision will be made after that game.

Wasn't smart that Xander didn't cut that ball off and throw Dozier out at 2nd, but I guess it worked out.

What a game by Johnson. Swihart with 3 great blocks in a row behind the plate. Please give him more playing time.

Seeing Dozier play tonight makes me want him more and more too. He's one of my favorite non Sox players.

I wonder if we see Brasier for the 7th inning?

I mean, I'd love if a reliever could finish an inning and if they have thrown only a few pitches, go out and do the next inning. That seems to be pretty rare though. At least the rain day freshened up our pen a bit.

Just a comment, Tori Hunter is an interesting color man to listen to. I liked his comments about playing RF instead of CF for the Angels. (He basically said he had more energy and explained why).
