I thought Stank was being converted to an outfielder position? Why is he pitcher hers?

I thought Stank was being converted to an outfielder position? Why is he pitcher hers? You're confusing him with Trey Ball

Ockimey is a guy that I get excited for sometimes, but then get reminded he's a bad defensive first base only type that can only hit RHP.

Darwinzon Hernandez 6 ks in 2 innings (1 bb and 1 hit as well) Jesus. Nearly every batter that's getting out in the AFL by Hernandez is via the strikeout.

has there been any change in his actual stuff since the regular milb season??? He’s pitching out of the pen so I imagine his already great stuff is ticking up a bit in the shorter outings.

I wonder if his fastball velocity has been operating in the high 90's. The strikeouts might indicate that he is.

The only blot, for me, on this wonderful season, is this. I had arrsnged to spend at least a week at AFL this year, and was stoked to see who was going from the Sox. A definition of basebsll Paradise is the AFL and the Valley’s incredibly good Mole’ and Sonoran style Mexican food by day and the ALDS and CS on TV for dinner. Unfortunately some medical issues intervened, postponing the trip to next Fall. Life happens, and that’s a beautiful thing. The good news is watching the playoffs from my living room, and planning a drive to Phoenix’s fine food in a month or so when it is cooler. Go Sox.

has there been any change in his actual stuff since the regular milb season??? No, that's his stuff. It is playing up a bit as a RP. For him it's not about stuff, it's about control.

I wonder why Chavis hasn't played a game yet. Something must be going on there.
Mesa has an Oakland player named Skye Bolt. I don't know if he's any good, but I love the name.

The mystery of why Chavis hasn’t been playing is solved. Michael Chavis, 3B/1B -- The Red Sox hoped to get their top prospect some more at-bats after he was suspended for the first 80 games of 2018 for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, but a sore wrist upended those plans, as Chavis never suited up for Mesa and was removed from the Solar Sox roster on Wednesday. The 2014 first-rounder from Georgia batted .298/.391/.538 with nine homers in 46 games (mostly in Double-A) this year but will not get a chance to win a second AFL championship after helping the Peoria Javelinas to the title last fall. amp.mlb.com/299544702-bobby-dalbec-works-on-approach-in-fall-league.amp.html?__twitter_impression=true
