I don’t watch the Braves... is this typical? They are just grinding our pitchers down. Over 150 pitches through 6.2? Absurd. Yeah it's been crazy. They have the 3rd best OPS in the NL, so they're pretty good overall.

Awesome!!!! Kimbrel cushion! How comfortable are you with Barnes right now, though?

Dave Dombrowski deserves immense praise for the small moves he made this year. Sure, Thornburg was a messup, and there have been some other regrettable, or at least long-term hurtful trades. But Pearce and Kinsler have been huge additions at a small price, and Eovaldi seriously improves what was essentially non-existent RH SP depth, without giving up any major prospects.

Barnes, please don't walk Incierte to put the tying run at home for Freddie Freeman.
Edit- Good.

Very nice inning from Barnes. No hard contact at all and he didn't give in with that walk.

Some classic stuff by Barnes this inning. Some bad luck but he kept his game on and just delivered a massive inning. Dude's a total pro when he's on.

is 3 run lead enough for Kimbrel?

This must have been one of the scheduled days off for JBJ. Cora has had plenty of chances to double switch or just insert him for defensive reasons and has elected not to do so.

Beni has been really good this year, and I love him. I don’t know if this counts as a “but” or an “and...” I think his big breakout season is yet to come.

now we can relax. Kimbrel should be good with 5 runs

No save situation for Kimbrel lol, he hasn't had a save opportunity in a long while. Ohh well. Xander needed that hit more today with his struggles at the plate.

Bogey 0-2. This team seems to be hitting a lot better than you’d expect with 2 strikes this year. I’m sure a lot of that is Mookie, but still...

We seem to be getting some good fortune today. It has seemed like the Gods of luck were against us lately.

He has been the best hitter in baseball statistically with two strikes I'm pretty sure of that. I have no way of knowing or checking though. I just don't know where even begin to look and compare that to the rest of baseball.
