Come on Sale, we believe in you! Does anyone know why Devers is not playing vs the 'rightie"

No kidding, I'd bring in Price for the 4th.

I get the feeling its gonna be a loooong series with Price going tomorrow. Price is the one guy I feel good about tomorrow. He did really well against them last year.

Or he just doesn't have it/is hurt. I mean come on, they aren't the ones doing the damage. He's doing that himself right now. They are putting up great at bats per usual. They smoke the one mistake he gives up. No one is 100 percent this year. He's not effective. That's what it comes down to. Thats exactly my point. It has nothing to do with Sale not being able to pitch against the Astros like you stated. They are a great team that puts great at bats against any pitcher. Sale walking 3 batters and hitting another one in 2 innings is not the Astros doing much of anything to beat him. He had no command during the second inning and great teams are not going to help you get out of the inning.

Only two runs. Our batters need to stay patient - Verlander isn't invincible...but we aren't making him work and short fly balls won't go it.
Neither will Leon's bat....

If Sale comes out then Leon NEEDS to come out.

I wouldn’t let Sale pitch another inning. Regroup for next start. He’s barely getting by and they have a good lineup.

You're giving credit to the Astros for getting good at bats and blaming Sale for bad command, while making a point to not say Sale can't pitch against the Astros. Not a lot of teams can put these good at bats together. I wasn't blaming Sale for pitching bad tonight specifically, I'm blaming Sale for doing this two years in a row against the Astros.

Cora is going to have to get ejected if Verlander keeps getting 4 inches off the plate. This is stupid. Please get ejected so Roenicke can get Devers into this game.

Lots of balls being hit > 100 mph. That's a good sign.

OK, we can talk about Sale all we want and how bad he is doing. But we only got 1 hit, versus Verlander. I know once he went to Houston he found the Fountain of Youth (Like all their starters) but this guy is beatable.

They're not putting up good at bats - they have one hit and they're waking at a high rate because he's throwing a lot of balls. Many that aren't even close to the zone. You could have walked on sale tonight. A number of the early pitches were simply non-competitive. Yet your argument is they're smoking every mistake? If you're going to melt down in the third at least get your story straight...

Thru 3 Verlander has had to make 33 pitches, Sale only 69.

No, that is not what I said. I said that the Astros put good at bats against all pitchers. Just because Chris Sale is pitching doesn't mean that's going to change. If Sale is Sale then he could definitley shut them down. I also never said you were blaming him for pitching badly. What YOU did say is that Sale can't pitch against the Astros based on two games, one of which (tonight) he is clearly not right/himself. It's a complete overreaction to state that based off of two starts.

it just hurts that Sale had this injury problem this year. He is gutting it out, I feel like he deserves better. Just terrible luck.

I'm not melting. SALE has done this two years in a row now.

Pretty clear Sale is gutting it out for the team...5-7 mph missing.
He is not healthy.....which we will find out if Sox eliminated.
